Hello.Iv just put my first set of flatwounds on my G&L SB2 and iv noticed a huge drop in volume. Is this normal or am i just silly?

I LOVE that bass!! I would definately get one if i had the funds.I have an SB2 with an ebony board and slim neck and its a great combination

I was lucky enough to buy the blue SB2 and it is by far the best bass i have ever played. For a passive bass it sounds huge and powerful and i have since stopped playing my other far more expensive instruments which says everything really

Iv just got a set of Ernie Ball strap locks for my SB2 and they are fantastic!! Totally solid with 360 degree rotation.They look great too with the EB logo on them.Gold, black or silver.

Well thats good to hear as iv just ordered one from BassDirect!! Believe it or not it will be my first tuner in 18 yrs!!

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me how much scope there is for custom options on Music Man basses? What i had in mind was a 5 string Sterling with piezo bridge, high gloss neck (like on the new Classic range) no fretboard markers and a flame maple top? Iv had a look at the website but cant find many options. Any help would be great.Cheers.

Is the carved top only available on the Tribute series?Seems strange if thats the case.

I own a JD 5 string Signature and i have to say it is a GREAT bass!!I f you can afford it ....buy it!!

Hi 7string.Is the EQ on your Sei an addition?I remember your bass having no controls at all!!

All absolutely gorgeous!!In my opinion G&L's are still a bit of a secret to a lot of bass players.If you accept that Leo Fender had an ethos of continual development and improvement then these basses are the best he ever designed(he said so himself!!).I have an old El Toro but would love to get an L2500.

My bass wont be ready til March/April.Not slow on Bernies part thats what i requested.He says matching covers wont be a problem.

Great to see the progress pics!!Two things id like to know.Firstly its hard to tell,but does the walnut control cover have holes for the G spot,metronome and pulse?Secondly why is only one of the covers fitted with magnets?(I thought there were two battery compartments?).Anyway iv always thought that method is perfect for securing a cover and makes things so simple and far neater.Again,FANTASTIC bass!!

Love that inlay!!Does it have a particular significance?When i first saw it it reminded me of that Level 42 lady!!I think i may go for my initials in old English script on my Rumour.Very nice.Ps is that MOP?
