Hi folks.Iv placed a deposit for a GB with the full LED package.Thing is its getting close to the time when final decisions have to be made!!Im still not sure what body shape to go for!!Iv always loved the Rumour but recently the Spitfire has been grabbing my attention.Im going for a thru neck either way as i like to see as much of the top as possible(iv reserved a FANTASTIC piece of quilted maple).Colours and fingerboard wood still have to be chosen as well!!Too much choice!!

Spector was always my dream instrument but i ended up with a Jerzy Drozd which i love.I always thought Spector did the best gloss finish but i see u went for the oil finish.Any particular reason?Lovely bass.

I too can highly recommend Stu's book.If you work thru it and can play everything in it you will already be a great slap player.I think id be more than happy to reach the standard Mr Clayton sets.Plus you get a lovely big photo of his GB Rumour and iv just ordered one!!!

Hi there.For a start you could go to Dave Mark's site (davemarks.com iirc).He has about a dozen drum tracks you can downlod and keep and also some chord progressions to play along with.

Fantastic bass!!Im really thinking seriously about a Rumour 5 at the moment.One question...what kind of sound does the metronome give(would be great to hear a kick drum sound rather than the usual click) and can the tempo be changed at all?(ok thats two questions!!)

I actually already have an El Toro from the late 80's but its been neglected over the years in favour of a couple of "boutique" basses.I played it again recently and realised just how good the bass is.The bass control is more powerful than my other two basses combined and it just feels RIGHT!!

Thanks Stingrayfan.I really want a new L2500 with some custom list options.I contacted the UK distributer but got no reply.I sent an email to Guitaradoptions who seem to have loads of G&L's in stock.They said i could order a new bass through them no problem but to expect a $350 shipping charge and then VAT when it arrives.With the pound so strong at the moment i think this could be the best plan.
