1. Just bought a Lakland 55-01D from Tiernan and am pleased to report a painless transaction - in fact, if anybody wants some bubblewrap...? Nice bloke, smooth deal and fab comms - does it get any better? ...do biz with him! ShaunB
2. checking... checking...
3. LOL! I just Googled "crivens" as it was a new one on me and got this: "Crivens! I kicked meself in ma ain heid!" ...you Scots... Go on, bow down to Temptation ;-)
4. Up for grabs is this beauty. Only one minor ding (circled) - the yellow golden sparkle is from the flash - go figure! A new set of Lakland stainless strings makes it sing. I'm looking for £600 (plus p+p - Interparcel) and will ship well packed with a padded gigbag - or maybe do a deal on a case. Any other questions ask away... cheers ShaunB
5. yup, that's the one - funny - both exactly the same specs... 55-01D.
6. hmmmm... interested (this the same one on ebay at the mo?)
7. You have a PM...
8. I don't think the dosh has gone into Si's account yet, but the Vox 30 I bought from him has arrived (next day!) wrapped to survive Chernobyl! Thanks Si - easy transaction and very recommended! Shaun
9. LOL! Pee Emmed...
10. PM me your address and I'll wing it over. cheers Shaun
11. Funny as hell and a worthwhile read - who's next? I canny find the original list...?
12. ...I'll wait a couple more days to se if there's any more interest... but I'm kinda loathe to sell the OD if splitting. If we can rustle up someone else for the Chorus and the BCB, you're on the list! cheers Shaun
13. Hi guys, I bought all this except for the Lomenzo pedal from folks around these 'ere parts. I'd rather sell as a package, but will split if there's no chance. BCB-60, good nick, although the bottom foam has been well cut to fit different pedals over the years. Available with a couple more patch leads and power connections. Note, If I remember correctly, this is an Australian power supply - only diff is the angled live/neutral, but it comes with an adaptor. Envelope Filter good condition, does what it says on the tin. There's no light in the VU meter - I emailed Ashdown and they said they didn't use that in their earlier models. Lomenzo OD - awesome OD (IMO) and if I split will be the only bit 'o kit I'll keep. Chorus Plus - great condition... just not my sound. EF and Chorus seem around £50.00 new and the JLo £57.00, BCB-60 around £100.00 How about £160 the lot? (plus P+P - it's kinda heavy)
14. ...there was one for sale at my local store: Absolute - it looked like a BG to me so I emailed Dan Lakin - this is his reply: "That was actually A Duck Dunn special edition. It is basically a Glaub with a gold anodized pickguard. Only 30 were actually made." So quite the collectors item. However, after owning a BG and now a DD - this is deffo a BG. ShaunB
15. LOL - and I have you to thank for that Marcus...
16. ...didn't think it would take long to go - I love my 4-94 and could never let her go...
17. Bought Martin's Xenyx mixer... it has duly arrived the next day as promised and the money hasn't even gone into his account yet! He has got us out of a gig/mixer problem for tomorrow and I need to recommend him as highly as is possible. Thanks Martin (hope the dosh makes it there!) cheers Shaun
18.
red pickguard plus natural body is just wrong for me Laklands are great instruments though!
...there's not too much Lakland left :-(
19.
Hi Shaun, how much use does the DD get if you have the 4-94 as well? What's the difference that makes you want both?
I've just bought the DD as I wanted something that more emulated a P-bass as I've had the Valenti for a while, but didn't like the neck - I keep it dialled for the older stuff we do - more thud - it's does the job very well. The 4-94 is still a joy to play and has so much more range - I gig with 'em both... the perfect pair (well, until something else comes along) ;-)
20. Guess I have to add my 2... a 4-94 courtesy of Marcus and a new (yes I bought new!!!) Skyline DD... now I want a US version! ...must get a better camera - do those necks looks curved or what? (although I've had a 44-02D, BG and a 55-01D)
