1. Nice one lads enjoying Phish now as well
 2. As the starter of the original MILF and FILF threads i'd like to say they were done as a bit of fun. They were copied from another site that i use regarding James Joyce where they were popular as a bit of harmless craic. I did say in the original post that people should stay within site rules because i didnt want them to be seen as threads were people could have a go or grind an axe. Sadly thats what the MILF one became with posters like "PETE ACADEMY" taking negative feedback and fallout on threads like this ,apoligies to pete. If any women were offended then i'm sorry that was not the intention , if any blokes were offended then tough. My wife is finding the uproar hilarious as it was her that suggested Sting as a FILF. I apologise to the mods if this has created undue hassle for them i know how hard the job of mod is which is why i didnt run to them with p.m's whineing about "my threads being locked" You do a good job and dont need this crap ...sorry .
 3.
I find it interesting that the disparaging opinions towards to the MILF thread were not also directed towards the FILF thread. Sexist that is.
+1 I'd say the only ones who complained were the male right on brigade.
 4. I have to say it took a bit of effort at the start but a bit like Mingus and Coltrane it paid off in the end. Absolutely LOVE his stuff now anybody else find his stuff good ? And any reccomendations for other jambands ?
 5. Q: How many lesbians does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: It would depend on a number of variables: the height of the light socket, the stability of any ladders used, the procurement of any necessary permits, compliance with union regulations and whether one counts the labor involved in the production of the bulb and light fixture. The gender and sexuality of the participants, however, are irrelevant. Just trying to lighten proceddings LOL !
 6.
June , I think.
Have to check that out
 7.
Good point. I think the written word is much misconstrued. I was just trying to convey my (often wicked) sense of humour, but it was totally misunderstood.
Is your band in belfast soon mate ?
 8.
Nothing wrong with your sense of humour mate (or Sarah’s or Rich’s), it’s just that there are too many here who are just too PC for words. How they ever manage to hack it in a band, I have no idea! I think that you have to accept Basschat for what it is – a great place to find & sell gear or to get info and technical advice (if you can distinguish between those who know what they’re talking about and those who really don’t), but not necessarily a great place for debate or what you’ve come to recognise as the knockabout humour that you tend to associate with most musicians……
Sorry mate but i'm gonna have to report you. Thinking for yourself and having the balls to do it on open forum without running to the mods It's people like you who get a lot of work in bands because your easy to get on with while us PC brigade wonder why the phone never rings. REPORTED !
 9.
OK, I was trying to make a point. Personally, I think the MILF deletion was a bit OTT. IMO. The BILF thread was a complete and utter pisstake. It's my sense of humour. OK?
Wish i'd ive thought of it
 10. Just downloaded from Mick Karn.com. sounds EXCELLENT on first listen. Fretless heaven ! I'll have to get me his autobiography now
 11.
You really do learn something new every day.
I think Nathan might just be best shot of that one
 12. I'm sure you've all seen these... But deserves another outing Helen Chamberlain off soccer am with mark kings kingbass and nathans warwick .
 13.
Excellent basses. A friend of mine had a fretted 4 that was an absolute dream to play and sounded amazing. The neck was so fast and smooth. Very, very impressive. Do they still make Tune basses? Have a bump!
I was in a music shop in Dublin about three years ago and they had about five of them. So must be still making them.
 14.
"See this back problem i have here , that heavy bastard was to blame"
 15.
Not heard her album so I can't comment on that but... I'd have to disagree with the last bit tho'. There's no doubting she's a tidy bird but it's her playing, tone and the vibrato that interested me in the vid. Thinking about it.... If anything, if it were Dawn French playing it would be even better !!
As much as i'd like to see her fingering her G string (cue canned laughter) her playing does nothing for me but then i like Alain Caron, Kai Eckhardt and Percy Jones which judging by these pages and sales not many others do.
 16.
I don't see the age thing as mattering to be honest. I don't care how old anyone is-in this case it's all about the playing, and she doesn't really do it for me.
Couldn't agree more ,listened to her album and was seriously underwhelmed. If she looked like Dawn french we wouldn't be having this thread.
 17. That is one beautiful bass !! Wish i had the money man !!! Have a bump on me.
 18.
I've just finished five weeks' worth of professional pantomime at the Sheffield Lyceum theatre & it's suddenly dawned on me that the daily 120 mile round trip to Sheffield I've been doing since forever & perpetual life in a dark orchestra pit is now at an end and I'm going back to my old life tomorrow morning, instrumental teaching in schools as well as my other professional playing commitments. It's a sort of weird feeling, as I've been doing nothing else but getting up and going to the theatre & coming back to sleep for the last few weeks. (Weather permitting!) The panto was excellent & although Toyah Willcox was the big name, Damian Williams (the new guy on "Are you smarter than a ten year old?") kept us on our toes and laughing our heads off for the whole run as the dame, "Nurse Nellie." The whole crew from Sheffield Theatres and Evolution productions were excellent, apart from the constant problems we had with the sound engineers, but that's to be expected when you put your sound into the hands of incompetent morons, I suppose. The playing new year is looking rosy with a lot of shows in the diary, sixty big band jobs leading to a tv series already booked & a repeat booking for the same band on next year's production at the Lyceum, Peter Pan. Has anyone else got an exciting bass-playing year coming up? Rich.
Stop boasting
 19.
I've been wondering exactly what it was that Karn's tone and style reminds me of. Serendipitously (now there's the word of the day!) I was watching The Clangers with my daughter this evening when all became clear... It's the Soup Dragon!!
Hey don't diss the KARN !
 20.
I've got the whole performance on DVD, Mick Karns playing on Colin Vearcombe/Black singing Wonderful Life is really nice too.
sounds good

 22.
I played Adam Clayton's one while I was working for Warwick during the Summer, and it is mega fugly but it sounds the nuts. But yeah, after the Zender bass Warwick are seemingly trying to put themselves out of business, and yeah, watch out for the price hikes twice a year... I'd like to say a lot more about Warwick, and enlighten a lot of people on a few things, but I could probably wond up in hot water. }
As an owner of a 88 streamer prey tell

So stay clear is the message .
 24. Just wondering if it would do as a bass to leave at our practice spot.
