Hi, sorry for not replying sooner, been away all weekend. I dont have a low B on any of my basses, not sure if CK ever played a 5 through it, so cant say on that but I play it with my basses (mahogany and basswood bodies) and it has heaps of nice low end with them. It has low end and high end boost switches which are quite dramatic and the bass control goes a long way I think. Hope that helps!

"regarding J pups...how would you fit them etc after taking off the big DC shape" EMG have J pups in the soapbar configuration as well so would be simple to swap..

Back up for SALE now, my early 90's Roscoe LG 3000. Absolute beast of a bass, both sound and looks. Selling as I want a Lakland or Stingray. It is offered elsewhere but would really like to sell it to someone here (slight chance I could buy it back in the next few years ) Details: Both the previous owner and myself have both spoke to Gard at Roscoe who has helped confirm the wood selection etc. Mahogany body Exhibition grade Quilt maple top dark accent veneer 2 piece maple neck Brazilian Rosewood board Roscoe spec bartolini pickups Bartolini 2 band preamp -vol,vol,treble,bass,boost switch( normal, boost, stupid boost, as Gard put it) The bass has had very low action ever since I bought it from the previous owner Steve. The action and intonation hasnt moved a bit and the bass plays very nicely with a good range of sound variation available from a classic p bass tone to more polite modern tones. My flat mate is away with my camera so I only have the pics taken by one of the previous owners. Hasnt changed since those and could probably do with a new set of strings. Other than that it comes with a semi-hard case and I would prefer collection in Glasgow but would be willing to post - Probably another 25 quid?? Dont miss out, I doubt you can get a better playing or sounding bass for anything less than £1000 and bare in mind with the exchange rate the way it is, a new bass like this would cost you at least four times as much as this one. As stated I am wanting to get a Laky DJ or JO 4 or mayb a stingray with this partly funding it. If in the unlikely event that some one has one for trade I could chuck in the Warwick combo I'm also selling for £250 which again is a great piece of kit for the price. Wishful thinking I know but if you dont ask.... cheers

Haha to be honest Genz Benz and markbass was just chucked in there cos they seem to be hyped up at the moment. Recently played a Shuttle 6.0 and it was definetly not bad just not my thing. -

+1 for Roto strings and Ernieball strings. Elixer coated strings are just horrible. Cant stand marshall or ashdown amps. Not too keen on warwick amps although I do own one! Not a fan of! any Boss pedal I've tried. Agree that Fenders are overpriced but still want one. Its been a while since I played it but loved the nathan east sig bass. Not a fan of Genz Benz or Markbass or Ampeg -
Hey man just listened to all the tracks. Pretty cool, like them all. I must say I just slightly prefer the sound from the bass you sold! sorry Both do sound great tho would love either of them. Oh, and I would like a CD since there doesnt seem to be many takers!

I have my trusty Dean Edge Q4 for sale. bought about 3 years ago. Had a good amount of playing but in good nick with the exception of one dent on the bottom of the bass (this cant be seen from front or back of the bass) Sound wise its very much a jack of all trades. It has a very nice 24 fret neck and a reasonably flexible 3 band eq with EMG HZ pickups. As seen from the picture its trans blue with a quilt maple top. Definitely one of the nicest basses I have tried playing wise and I would keep it if my Roscoe didnt hog all my playing time. I would also consider any kind of trade or part trade on a bass, amp things, preamps, pickups, lots of strings, or anything else you may think of! cheers
