Haha yeh its not to everyone's taste but to be fair you couldnt buy the wood let alone the preamp and pickups on this bass for what I paid which was 425 I think so a great deal for someone
Hi Teo sorry for the delay, it doesnt have a serial number as it was a one off made when Roscoe didnt record serial numbers. That is what I was told officially from Roscoe although I will have a hunt and see if there are any dating marks. I was told by Gard at Roscoe guitars of the spec and rough dating and I'm sure he would be happy to confirm that again if you email the company.
I have some sound clips which are mixed with recordings from a funk band I was playing with. The recordings were pretty basic though with no channels just a single mic recording everything. I could record single track into a BOSS BR but the sound quality and accuracy isnt really up to standard with the bass through an amp
Hi folks not been on the forum for a while but this bass is still up for sale as I'm hopefully leaving the country for a job in a few months so will not have anywhere to store kit etc. Price still 450 posted but will consider trades and or cash via pm. Try out welcome in Glasgow also.
Right folks this is back up for sale. Great wee combo with plenty of volume and tone. Would prefer pick up in Glasgow, which I'll consider a discount for, or additional cost for postage, around 25-30 quid.
As for the string spacing,
its 18.5mm right on the saddles and 10.33... right on the nut. Best bass I've had a go on by far in terms of playability and the action goes exceptionally low if thats your thing.
Oh and as to the replacement neck I have spoken to a few of the Roscoe team via email and they seem like very nice helpful guys. I dont think they would have any problem providing a new neck if you wanted one although looking at the price of a new roscoe and the exchange rate the the way it is, you would be lucky to get a new neck for the price this bass is selling for!
Ha yeh I understand where your coming from with the headstock
But trust me once you play it you wont care!
In terms of playability it beats everything I have tried whether they were Sadowsky's or Overwaters etc at much higher prices. The Body I dont personally like looks wise but it is very nice to play seated or standing and overall it is a well balanced bass. I was playing this with my funk band this week and fell in love again with the sound of it so I may put some audio clips up soon to show you all what this beast do.
Ahhh no I've been looking for an orange/maple combo for ages and one comes up when I have two basses I dont play and cant seem to sell!
Gutted! Bump for a good looking bass anyways
