  1. Thanks everyone, it is a fab bass, decal came off when I got the neck waxed, didn't want to put a fake one on. Chris......you know you want it!! Gary.
  2. Hi, The bass has got the active Emg's but no preamp, its vol/vol/ tone. Gary.
  3. 'Evening, Selling my Squire modified fretless bass due to my impending Pedulla bill! These are great basses, lovely neck and phenolic fingerboard, well made, nice finish but let down by some of the hardware.... So I put a Badass on it, installed at the correct angle, an Emg J set and added a scratchplate, looks better to me and I'm a huge Jaco fan. Also waxed the neck, looked a bit too white. It's very well set up, very low action plenty of growl and mwaaa. The bass in in excellent condition, some slight string scoring on board, no effect on playability or sound. I'm asking £220 plus postage. I realise these are around £250 new, but the cost of the upgrades is reflected in the price. Pickup is fine, I'm in South Wales, Cheers, Gary.

Hi ieuan, Thanks for that mate......best team won fantastic second half. Gary.
  5. Hi All, I'm selling my Marty Siggery 5 string, I'm the second owner, the guy who commissioned it is obviously a Sadowsky M5 24 fan...who isn't. Marty's a excellent luthier based in Kent. The quality of his work, choice of woods and hardware is terrific, Google him, well worth a look. The Roadbass is his top of the line model, original price was around £1500 for this example. I bought off Ebay around 6 months ago, had it set up and rewired, it's passive with a series/parallel/single coil switch for each p/up. Had a bart pre in it for a while but I prefer the sound with just the switching options, these pups are certainly not "dark" sounding, great range of very "musical" tones. I'm selling it because a bass I've after for around a year has become available, and it's not cheap! Pedulla's rarely are. The bass is in superb condition, no dings to report. Anyhow..Bass Spec: Alder body with a 1/4 inch figured maple cap. Maple neck 35" scale, 24 fret maple fingerboard, figured maple Headstock. Bartolini usa CB soapbars. Abm bridge, 19mm spacing. Hipshot Ultralight tuners. Abs case included. Pix: I'm asking £600 plus P&P for this beauty, I'm sure if Marty was better known it would be more. I'm in South Wales, any trials are most welcome, so is a 'halfway' meetup. Thanks, Gary.
  6. Hi all and Happy New Year(almost). I've decided to put my 55 01 up due to my never ending quest for a Fretless I'd be happy with. It's a Dlx model with the most beautiful Quilt Maple top in Cherry Sunburst. I got it from Shaun B a while ago and was amazed by the feel, construction and playability, crazy low action. I thought a bass of this quality would have great p/ups and preamp but sadly, no. So I replaced the P/ups with Nordstrands, Fatstack at the bridge and Big Single at the neck. I also replaced the pre with the excellent Glockenklang 3 band unit, the pre is configured vol, pan, bass mid treble. Pulling up the volume pot bypasses the eq but the treble still functions as a passive tone control...clever. The bypass and passive tone also work if the battery dies. So now the bass sounds fantastic, from vintage J and P to modern and hifi. A friend of mine who owns a 55 02 was so knocked out with the sound he's also going down the Nord, Glock route. As I said, this is going to fund or trade for a fretless 4 or 5. Px against a Pedulla Buzz would be fab and I'm also fond of fretless Graphite necks Sale price is £600 this includes a fitted ABS case. Pix : Any trials are more than welcome. I'm based in South Wales. Thanks, Gary

  8. Thanks, It is a bit special, I'll reply to all the pm's today with a bit of luck. Gary.
  9. 'Evening all, I've had this beauty for around a year, but I'm not playing enough gigs on fretted to keep it, the pimped Lakland I have takes care of them. I'ts got a Swamp ash body with a Burl Malee droptop, 34"scale Maple and wenge neck with a lovely Birdseye Maple fingerboard, 18m spacing at the bridge. The pickups are Seymour Duncan in a MM/J configuration. The MM is the Alinco model with Series/Parallel/Single Coil switching. Preamp is Shuker 3 band, with mid frequency pot in the cavity. The sounds great and very versatile nails the mm sound even on the B string also does a great J and P range of sounds. The neck is very comfortable, with a shallow profile back to front, also the bass is lightweight, much lighter than my Lak , Zoot 5 or MiJ Jazz. It's in terrific condition, well looked after, can't see any fretwear Ideally I'm looking for a trade deal with a Pedulla Pentabuzz or a 4 sting Buzz I'd also consider a Eub, Steinberger? or higher end J type. I have some cash to add to trade for the right instrument. Some Pixs: I'm based in South Wales but will travel to work out a trade. Thanks, Gary.
  10. Hiya Joe, Welcome from the Valeez. Gary.

    WHAT AMP?

Alright Tim, Check out MarkBass stuff....fab. Give me a bell if you want to try my setup. Cheers Butty, Gary.
  12. I would recommend the Genz Benz Neox212. I've used mine on around 30 gigs and lots of rehearsals ranging from Soul to Jazz and a very loud rock band with two LOUD!! guitarists. I power mine with a MB SA450, very loud clean setup. The cab has no problem with the B string, projects well and is quite sensitive, plus it weighs 50lbs. The tilt back wheels also help when the stage is around 500 yards from the car park. Gary.
  13. Hi All, Found some more stuff, don't need it, so here it is: 5 Schaller M4 Machine Heads 3 left 2 right...£30 plus P&P. Schaller 5 String 3D Bridge...£25 plus. Bartolini 5 string 59J set...£60 plus. Everythings in excellent condition, I was tempted to get one of Ian's (chopthebass) lovely bodies but I don't need another Jazz......or do I? If someone wants the lot It's £100 plus postage. Cheers, Gary.
  14. It's a Fender 'Made in Japan' '62 Reissue, I've had it for around 12 years, fab bass. Glad young garbev's going to make good use of it. I've had some offers on splitting the bits so...... Audere.......£75 plus P&P. DiMarzios....£45 Plus. Schaller......£15 Plus. PM's all replied to. Many thanks Gary
  15. Hello B.C. Selling my Jazz Bass Pimp Kit, my son prefers the " Old Skool" vibe. So original p/ups and switchgear in, Actives out. The Kit is: Audere JZ3...vol vol stacked bass and treble 3 way Z mode switch. Dimarzio... model J p/ups, noiseless and very fat sounding, 4 conductor wiring. Schaller 3/D bridge... great bridge, variable spacing with roller saddles. All the items are in excellent condition with wiring diagrams, no soldering needed on the Audere. Great upgrade for a Squire or MIM Jazz, £120 the lot inc. UK postage . Installed bits, Badass stays. Uninstalled bits. Thanks, Gary.
  16. Hi Everyone, I'm selling my Aguilar GS112, 300watts 8ohm the one with the tweeter. It's a great little cab, sounds excellent with a 5 string, very good bass extension and the tweeter isn't too harsh. I've been using it with fretted and fretless 5's and I don't find it 'mid scooped' to any great degree, it's very clear and Hifi. I'm selling it due to getting a Genz Benz NeoX 212 which is 4 ohm this is the max for the SA450(not included BTW) The cab's in excellent condition, no wear on the carpet covering, very slight scuffs on the plastic corners. I'm looking for £200 plus postage, around £20-25 I think. Any trial or pickup no problem, I'm in South Wales, could meet up for cost of fuel. Thanks, Gary.
  17. Hello, Thought I'd put this lot on in an effort to declutter and raise some GAS cash. 18. Hello, I'm after some very nice but expensive cabs on this very forum so this must go to increase the funds. Great lightweight cab, in excellent condition. I've only used it in rehearsal and acoustic gigs, sounded great with the Berg 210. I'm asking £170 plus P&P. Based in South Wales but could organize a 'halfway' meet up for fuel cost..........that'll be a grand then!
  19. 'Morning all, Due to ongoing back problems and doing more 'dep'(function room on second floor, no lift)gigs I'm having to sell/trade/px my berg ht210. This cab is the best 210 I've ever heard, beautiful sound, hifi clarity with amazing low end, but no 'boom', very focused. I use Shuker and Zoot 5 strings and the cab sounds great down to low B. I'm powering it with a MB SA450 but I've used it with GK and Aguilar and they all sound lovely. As I said, I'm open to trade or p/x the cab for one or two lightweight quality cabs, berg, epifani etc. The cash price is what I paid Ari for it, £300, bargain! Haven't got any pix yet but Ari's may still be up on the site. The cab is in excellent condition. Some blurb off the Bergantino site: Bergantino HT210, 2-10” & Horn Speaker Cabinet 2-10" cast frame woofers w/ 56oz. magnets, vented pole pieces and 2.5" voice coils High intelligibility tweeter with cast horn Power handling - 400 watts rms Custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control Frequency response: 36hz - 18khz Sensitivity: 100db • anechoic: 2.83v/1m Impedance: 8 ohms Dimensions: 18"H x 22-3/4"W x 18"D Weight: 64lbs 64 lbs is hardly 'heavyweight' but I'm even older than Old Git.....sorry Si and strangely seem to be doing more gigs than ever. I'm based in South Wales but could meet up on M4/M5 for fuel cost. Thanks, Gary.
