  8. Any Motown featuring Mr Jamerson, may sound like a 'nice' part to start, but delve deeper and play it as the record and.....ulp. Oh yeh 'only so much oil in the ground', Tower of Power (10 minute version), solo from start to end. Gary.
  9. Hi, I'm selling a pair of Bart 5 string Jazz p/ups. Got them off here as a standin while the Basslines pup in the Shuker was being repaired. Its a 59J1 set, dual coil, bright neck deep bridge. P/ups are in great condition, no string marks, they come in the original box, no mounting screws I'm afraid. Full details, dimensions etc on Bartolini site, £80 posted or trade for good quality comp pedal. I'll get some pix up asap, camera on loan. Cheers, Gary.
  10. Hello, Peavey 210 TX modified up for sale, I've replaced the drivers with Eminence Delta 10's to give it more power handling and headroom as a stand alone cab. The cab is now rated at 700 watts rms at 4ohm, I've used it stand alone with EUB and EB sounds nice and deep with lots of top from the variable horn. The cabinet is in very good condition with very slight 'bobbling' on the carpet covering. The original Sheffield 10's are included in the sale, no issues with these they work perfectly. Size is 42x62x43 cm Weight is 26kg Looking for £100 for the cab. I'm based in South Wales Could meet up don't mind doing some driving. Ta, Gary
  11. P.S. looks nice, get a Shuker. G.
  12. FRETTED NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! G.
  13. Bump with nicer pics. Gary.
  14. Mothers Day bump. Clear scratchplates are my faves on any basses with a decent grain on the body. Never really liked the MM 'plates, too eggy! Gary.
  15. Hi, Got this lovely Sterling off Rockinbassman, but since I've become the proud owner of a Shuker 5 it hasn't been out the house. The Sterling is natural with a nicely grained body, tort plate. Very slim maple neck. Sounds like a Sterling should and plays like a dream, very low buzz free action. The bass comes in a Musicman moulded case. The price I'm looking for is £600 plus postage, but would be interested in taking a lightweight cab as a P/X up to the value of £250ish, a Neo 12 would be my first choice, EBS, Aguilar, Berg, but I'm open to offers. Thanks, Gary.

  18. Hello All, Having sorted my 5 string basses out, Zoot and lovely Shuker, I've found this rack is is a bit too valvey? for them, to coloured, but amazing with MM and Jazz basses. Having tried some Markbass amps and combos recently I was amazed on how IMO 'True to life' they are, not to mention LOUD and clean for a small light box. So I'm looking to trade these for a MB head or as P/X for a Combo. The SVP Pro preamp has just been serviced and is in good condition. Some rack rash and a one fader top missing off the graphic but fader works fine, The ADA B500B is in great condition, with speakons added on the main outs. spec on the amp is: Channel A 385 wpc into 4 ohm, 255 wpc into 8 ohm Channel B 275 wpc into 4 ohm 210 wpc into 4 ohm I've been using this setup as a Biamp system with either a crossover unit or graphic for Low/Highpass. Included is the Kinsman 4U case in the pix. If anyone is interested in buying them its £375 for the lot. Thanks, Gary
  19. Looks like a "Les Paul Recording" bass from the 70's. Quite ahead of it's time with low impedance P/Ups and interesting EQ switchgear. Gary.
  20. I've been asked to post some 'Full' shots of the Bacchus. Here they are. The body is unmarked, the flash reflections don't do it any justice!! Gary.
  21. Cheers, 34" scale, good tension and definition on the 'B'. G.
  22. Cheers Mate, Yup, she sure is purdy! Gary
