1. Mr and Mrs Sharman will be there sometime between 2 and 3. ..and yes, we have cake.
2. Only had it a couple of months Andy, swapped the recently unused Mexican Jazz for it from Sunfish of this parish. You are welcome to get hands on with it if you wish.
3. Yeah, cheers for bringing the EUB last time Norris. I ended up buying one because of you. ...I think Mrs S would like a word with you Andy, I have the eastcoast (rebadged Stagg I think) EUB at my house if you ever want a try out on one.
4. My old bass, and a top guy to do business with. Sitting here trying to avoid buying it back....
5. Just traded my MIM jazz for Brian's Eastcoast EUB. Good guy to deal with, would definitely recommend.
6. I'm Chris! The guy in the picture alongside tells me so. Whatever I am being thanked for...you're welcome.
7. Now Traded - Gone! Price is £360 for the lot, I am considering shifting this on Ebay next week so if anyone is interested please PM me, I am not averse to offers so feel free to chance it, what's the worst that can happen? Well, due to lack of use and impending arrival of a new project it is time for my trusty Jazz to move on. This has been the mainstay of my equipment line up for 3 years now and has in it's time played some fun gigs at some great venues and also the occassional rubbish one in a complete dump of a place. The serial number is MZ2067309 which dates it to early 2002 and the colour is (I believe) Sage Green which in differing light can appear Grey, Silver, or even Gold as has happened at some gigs. There is a small ding on the lower horn, which can be seen in the photo, I will try and get a more detailed shot uploaded later. As some of you may recall this originally had a white scratch plate which will be included in the sale. I have also had a chrome neck pickup cover fitted which will also stay with. It is currently strung with Roto-Sound flats, all the above work having been done by AJR1515 of this parish. The strings have been on now for over a year, so I would imagine any purchaser would wish to re-string and set up as they see fit however it is fine to play straight out of the box. I am also including the case that it was in when I bought it. This is an aluminium flight case from Adrenaline flightcases. It has scratches and wear on it but all parts are fully functioning. Should you not require the case I would be happy to split the two items but I bought them together and I would prefer to sell them as a package. "Photos or it doesn't exist..." OK then:

9. Is there any interest in trades? I was about to list my Mexican Fender Jazz with a view to buying one of these. Wont be offended if you tell me to do one.
10. This is easily your best work yet (in my humble opinion). If this sounds as good as it looks you will have one very satisfied customer I am sure. and several VERY jealous ones!
11. This bass is looking amazing Andy. Now I am back in the working world we may have to have a talk in a bit....
12. Water for Dogs have some interesting song titles... it helps that being instrumental we dont feel the need to tie in to the lyrics or feel of the vocal so we just make up something daft on each occassion. Some prime examples:

Disco Ninja
Crazy Space Breakfast
Chill the Dog
Not Bod (because bits of it sound like the theme tune to the old kids TV show Bod. But it's not!)
Computer Room
Business as Usual (named after the beer we were drinking when we created it. See Derby brewing company for further details. Other beers are available)
...and these are only the ones I let them get away with. You know things are a bit wierd when I am the voice of reason in the band...
13. Well, Water for Dogs returned to our annual self-organised silliness at the Queens Head in Belper on Saturday evening. This year we were ably supported by Miss Robyn Johnson who is a singer songwriter with one of those voices that you know is just waiting to be in the right place at the right time for everything to take off for her. She played a great set of her own material and then we went on... we decided that we were going to use my full lighting rig and debut our new laser. I had run some test programs on the lights and laser and knew how we could run things using footswitch triggers. Everything groovy. We open our set with a stage blacked out barring the laser scanning a single wide angle beam through smoke above us and the matching t-shirts we were wearing with LED graphic equalisers on them (cheap but funny). Halfway through the first track we hit the louder more full-on section, I hit the floor switch for the lights, stage lighting goes on, everybody cheers...and Richards double decker keyboard stand collapses. Not in a toppling over way but in a Wiley Coyote drops-straight-down-leaving-his-hands-still-playing kind of way. Silence. "We'll be back in a couple of minutes..." We were. People helped, they held stuff, re-connected stuff, plied us with beer and within 5 minutes were back up and running with miraculously no damage other than a bent connector. After that everything went great. Much dancing from the off, great reception for our new tracks, couple of CD sales (including one that needed signing???) and an introduction to another festival and a music journalisty type. All good. Evidence of cheesy t-shirt (and growing of second chin)
14. Thanks Gareth. Sheffield not being a million miles away I will point Richard in that direction. Cheers.
15. Thanks chaps. We are based in Derbyshire although to be honest anywhere is probably closer than Germany in this context.... Alcytes... thanks for that I will give him a shout. Think he may now have a temporary fix in place allowing us to work albeit on a much reduced output level which we are going to preamp to a stronger signal level allwoing for this one gig. After that we have some months until our next one. It still needs fixing properly, having said that if anyone does know someone suitable still feel free to post suggestions.
16. Evening All! Our keyboard player has just informed us that his Access Virus Synth has died on him this afternoon. This may spell the end of our final gig of the year as the only person he knows that can fix them is busy until next year and the manufacturers repair centre is in Germany and also cant look at it for a long time. My question then m'learned colleagues is do any of you (or your keyboard playing friends) know/have awarenss of/keep as a pet a tame synthesiser repair specialist?
17. Water for Dogs are returning to the little upstairs room at the Queens Head on Chesterfield Road in Belper for our annual festival of musical oddness. This year we shall be accompanied by the uber-talented Robyn Wallis Johnson who will be playing her own laid back acoustic set before we open up a six-pack of wierdness on the musical world. oh, and we've just bought a new laser so if you see any partially blinded inebriates on the streets of Belper late on that night you can guess where they have come from!
18. The Badly Stuffed Bears return to the Nags Head in Belper for our final gig of the year (and possibly ever). This will be our last gig with our current drummer as work issues have forced him to move on. We will be supported by local friends "Itty Bitty Committee" who will be doing a mainly original set. We are set fair to go out with a bang so it should be a damn good night.
