  1. Thanks for this. I've never had a problem with Hermes - neither sending nor receiving - but always good to hear about others' experiences. Cheers, Tobie
  2. Does anyone know which day Yolanda Charles and Bobby Vega are expected? Cheers, Tobie
  3. A lot of great advice here. I agree with some - MB cabs are 'woody' and uninspiring to my ears, but then I've always played active basses with soapbars through them and been underwhelmed (seem to remember playing a jazz with DiMarzios and being disappointed too?), so I may be delighted by the results with an old P. If you want real sparkle, change the cabs, but a string change/outboard preamp/pup change could make all the difference you're after. Cheers, Tobie
  4. Hi, Are you happy to split these? If so, what are you after for the cab? Cheers, Tobie
  5. Currently using one these and really enjoying it. It's a lovely, tasteful chorus. Amazing value!
  6. A really nice, quality fiver for not much money anyone?
  7. Excellent jazz bass, with quality pickups and wiring, on a shoestring anyone?
  8. Hi, Does this include box and manual? Cheers, Tobie
  9. Thanks for this. It looks absolutely perfect for what I need - can even run the VT1 off it. Have ordered a Vitoos - £42 including postage! Cheers, Tobie
  10. Cheers TheGreek. I thought I'd insured with Hermes before, but perhaps my memory's failing me...
  11. For sale is my Bass Collection Jive in excellent condition. This a good quality and reasonably light (4.1kg using the crude bathroom scales trick) jazz bass that growls along nicely. It sports a basswood body (slightly less deep than a jazz), maple neck and rosewood board. The nut is 38mm. I have a light touch and the action can be set fairly low. The colour is more turquoise in the flesh, the scratch plate is mint green and the chrome pickup cover is included. I've had DiMarzio DP123s fitted and a conversion to VBT with CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack. There is one tiny dent in the lacquer that I've attempted to photograph - otherwise it's pretty much spotless, bar some very light swirling (not photographable) by the bottom strap pin and a dent in the casing of the bridge pup. Obviously, collection from Manchester is preferable. I have no spare cases/gigbags, but happy to box up and post within the UK (I anticipate shipping will be around £25). No trades thanks. Cheers, Tobie
  12. For sale is my 2014 Cort B5 in very good condition. This a really well-made, articulate-sounding and easy-playing fiver - it has served me well for my gospel playing in particular. There are a few tiny dents that I've attempted to photograph and a 5p-sized dark mark on the back of the upper horn. The wenge/rosewood laminate neck is not *completely* smooth between 1st and 5th fret, due to the wenge's grain. This is near-imperceptible and not photographable. It doesn't affect playing whatsoever, but I mention for the sake of transparency. Spec Mahogany body Wenge/rosewood neck Rosewood FB Bartolini MK1 pups and pre Hipshot lic. ultralight tuners 45mm at the nut 16.5 string spacing 3.7kg using the crude bathroom scales trick Obviously, collection from Manchester is preferable. I have no spare cases/gigbags, but happy to box up and post within the UK (I anticipate shipping will be around £25). No trades thanks. Cheers, Tobie
