1.
won't do too much harm?
Oh yeah, what about GAS leaks?
 2. Good investment, no way. Great idea, hell yeah! Worth a phone call to Coda Music in Stevenage, they'll price it up.
 3. I like the randomness of the zinicote, very organic. Both good choices.
 4.
Guess I'll have to go custom, but where from? Thanks in advance for for any help.
Check out Freestyle cases, they make bespoke ones
 5. Urghhhh... Massive Stingray GAS now, been too long since I had a maple neck one. Given that they are so cheap second hand, this could be bad for my budgeting....
 6.
That is exactly what I'm after at the moment. A white Ray 4H with a maple board preferably with a neck similar to this Sterling. Do you think I can find one anywhere? Having said that, this Sterling looks simply gorgeous, I've never played one though. What significant differences are there?
There is a difference in the pickup Warren, these are ceramic rather than the alnico used in stingrays. They sound different, but still great of course. Just don't expect a stingray tone.
 7.
cheers for the info guys, the contours would be a bonus i played with a friends Ray5 and it did feel good even though im not really used to 5 string basses. i also don't know if i would be able to part with SUB if i bought a new one either! haha
Easily sorted, buy a Stingray with a maple fingerboard, my fave anyway, and then you have two with tonal differences...GAS justification sorted! Happy saving.
 8. I've had two of both, I like the SUB for value for money but I prefered the contours, woods used and feel of the regular Stingray. I never liked Basswood bodies on Fenders, but the Bongo made me rethink that opinion on Music Man which is why I gave my second SUB a try. If your SUB is doing it for you, your quids in, they are lovely basses. Edit: I'm with Pete, I love the 2 band eq myself. Though the bass knob often needs toning down at times to adapt to situations. The 3 band have more zing I reckon, great if you want more mids and attack perhaps.
 9. How about a 1975 Ibanez? They did some great copies, Gibson ones look fun... From the 1975 catalogue http://s93105080.onlinehome.us/Ibanez-Catalogs/
 10. You paid your money, plug away! I always use a link in my signature to the listing, you can do that in the edit section of your profile. Good luck with the sale, I was dubious about the pricing when I joined BC, experience has taught me how wrong I was, BC has been extremely kind to me, and others, with sales.
 11. My friend recently bought some 2014 Modulus through Planet Bass. They were the 2nd and 3rd to be made this year. They currently have a blue/black burst and a sparkle sunburst Funk Unlimited just about to be assembled. Amazing basses, so glad they are back in business.
 12. Sold, pending the usual.... Should go down in 2 weeks.
 13.
How strange! Wish I had the money to just get the 66! It was phenomenal! Best bass I've ever played! Hands down! I've played one of the AVRI and found the finish poor, and the tone way too middy and clanky, not the smooth articulation I expect from a 60s era P bass!
Yeah, it really was a good one. You're right about the AVRI, they are good basses but don't have the real vintage vibe. Nothing can replace a vintage sound , mostly as the pickup magnets are older. But the CS basses do a blooming good job.
 14.
Yes, I'm sure it does mate. GLWTS, although you won't need it.

Sexy looking bass Daniel! GLWS my friend.
Thanks fella's
 15.
Not sure its the same one? The one I played was in No Tom Guitars in Denmark Street and was up for £5995! Played superb! What are people's experiences of the AVRI P's?
Yeah, same one I knew anyway but also checked the serial number! I was pleased to see it there, though the price was a bit keen. Great shop No Tom though. The AVRI's are quite nice, better than the USA std in my opinion but still not as good as CS. The new prices of the AVRI are the same as 2nd hand Custom Shops (er, check the link in my signature )
 16.
This isn't really the place for discussing the merits of Limelight, but I don't think it's right to compare the two - they're completely different ends of the market.
Nice one, Limelight sure are good for the price point, but is a tricky comparison along side a CS bass.
 17. I'm with all the above. Happy to pay, happy to scroll and find all sorts. It's s good platform for selling, I like it. Helps us relieve our gas in various ways.
 18.
I'd buy it!
What annoys me is that they could make it, it'd just take up to 3 years to get it in your hands! I don't know about you, but my GAS may not survive that long period!
 19. There is some slating of Fender on BC, the big boys always get that. Considering how many pros use then they must be really bad.... I love the CS basses, quarter sawn necks, excellent woods and great pickups. Plus they look very cool, and unlike other makes, can actually resemble a vintage Fender, rather then a 'reliced guitar'. Of course, like any make, you sometimes get the odd duff one. But rarely. By the way, that 66 you liked used to be mine, and is now for sake on this forum!
 20. Seni just came by and bought a bass, you couldn't meet a nicer man! Absolute pleasure to meet and talk to, great taste in basses is always a good start but like a said, he really is a top man, Enjoy the bass mate!
 21.
What are you trying to DO to me? Selling Moduli. Selling Fenders. Talking about Lull's. It's more than a man can take.
Believe me, it hurts more on this side my friend!
 22.
Gorgeous, good luck with the sale.
Cheers, must have been that luck you sent over as it's now sold!
 23. I bought this bass only a few weeks ago, knowing that I couldn't really afford it, but hoping that I could claw the money back over a period of time. I was wrong, the Mrs and I did a budget check at the weekend and I really need to put money elsewhere. This is by far, the nicest P Bass I have owned in quite sometime, I've bought and sold a few trying to find one that I click with. Problem is, I never got on with white basses so when deciding which of my basses I have to sell, this is it. I've also had another bass from this series, which came to me on a p/x deal, that was also a stunner. There is something quite special about this years range, the necks actually feel vintage for once. I've lost count of how many CS basses I've played that still have a 'new feel', but this one really does feel like the original 1964 I used to own. Tone wise, it's gorgous, punchy, yet smooth in all the right places. It weighs under 8.5lbs and plays like butter. These are no longer available in the UK, new they were between £2300 - £2600. This bass is under 6 months old and has had little playing time, so is very nearly new. Comes with full unused case candy. Strap, tool kit, lead, plates, cloth and picks. One last thing, it has a very cool serial number for a 1964 reissue - L10964. Silly to mention, but fun to notice The ONLY trades I'd consider are Mike Lull 4 string P or J style basses. They'd have to be under 8lbs. If you have one of them, I'd be tempted to do a deal and sell another of my basses because due to a neurological condition weight is an issue for me and I love Lull basses for their weight and vibe.
