I have an Indonesian made 44-64 Custom (previously known as the Duck Dunn model). The build quality was quite good, and it’s a beautiful looking bass, however I hated the NeoPunch pickup. It was disappointing to me to buy an Indonesian made instrument for $1200 USD (the approximate cost of a US Fender) only to have to swap out the pickup.[/font] [font=Arial]Tom[/font][/size]

While I love the bass, it was fairly expensive for an Indonesian made instrument (1200 USD) and it was shipped without much else but the bass. No tools or case of any kind. It was packaged in a plastic bag inside of a cardboard case.[/font] [font=Arial]For perspective, a US Fender P costs slightly less and ships with a molded hard case, truss rod and bridge adjustment tools, as well as a fairly comprehensive owners manual.[/font] [font=Arial]Tom[/font][/size]

When I was selling strings online, I had a Dingwall player as a customer. He had a fanned fret 5 string. He would order a standard long 4 string set of DR's (DR's have a generous winding length) as well as an extra long B string (40" winding). He was very happy with that set. Tom
