1. Hi Al Krow I have had the rig about 6 months I bought it used from Bass Direct. I can't find any dings looking it over. The cab feet are the wooden skid type so are scratched. I changed the pre amp valve for a slightly cooler JJ which gives a little more clean headroom. You can still push it into the nasty zone though
2. I need something with a nastier top end due to a new project so mine are up for sale .

5. Was that this weekend for Johns Birthday ? Great venue many crazy nights there !
6. I have bought a fair amount of gear from Mark. Sometimes his advice is great others its just irritating but you gets the facts and a good range of gear the facts not widely stocked. Hence the Roscoe i have and love. Its all subjective we hear what we want to He had a guy helping last time i went in who was a bit of a cock. Greeted me with "Allah is with you" very odd proceeded to burble a load of bollox Alex has always been ace but price wise The Gallery is premium London. Martins work and setups are top notch.
7. Two penneths If you play rock or any covers really in a pub your job is to sell beer. When i goto to a pub gig i usually drink whereas a pucker music venue normally not. While you having the drink (that allows the landlord to pay you) you wanna have a chat with you mates not a full conversation but a few comments about the band whatever without screaming. Go to Maplin get a decibel meter cheap as chips so you can gauge volume between venues. The majority of pub bands i see have spent probably £10k minimum on instruments and back line. Then by a dirt cheap PA cos its only for vocals which sounds as harsh as hell as its pushed to its limit ! Sadly its us bassplayers who are the root of all sonic evil along with the kick drum its what you can hear loudest outside windows shut or not .
8. This week was spent arguing with a major guitar store about what is an acceptable finish on a thousand pound bass. Eventually i had to take the bass back to the store to avoid £30 shipping. Still waiting fir refund. What a pleasant surprise then to deal with Gear 4 Music bought 3 items by mail. Found 2 weren't right for me. Called customer service real person within 20 secs no question no hassle they will arrange for the goods to be collected at their cost and a full refund issued. Nice one chaps !

13. I had an audition for a classic rock covers band last night. walked in to a very long social club room to see two half stacks a 100w TSL Marshall And a Mesa dual rectifier ! aahh should have bought both SP12s i thought oh well. grab the Roscoe Gain on 4 Master on 7 bit of compression sounded pretty damn loud so did me bit and see email received this morning blow nuff said "Thanks for coming along last night, I enjoyed your playing and thought you had a great sound. I spoke to the others today and we would all be happy to have you join the band if you are interested? I did like the way you were able to wing it with some of the songs that got thrown in at the end too, I personally had played quite a few of them in the past, but had completely forgotten how to play them, whereas you just played them. I couldn't believe what that little rig kicked out i might have to try the guitar version....J"
