  1. I have the Dusk and would love to a/b it against your Xerograph….but I’m Reading based so not exactly close by! Was there something in particular you wanted to find out about with the Dusk. I use mine almost exclusively as a low pass filter with expression pedal. Jay
  2. That one is going nowhere! Haha!
  3. Here we have an ACG from Alan's Graft range which I believe he no longer offers. It's a fantastic passive bass that covers a lot of tonal ground. I've been so pleased with it that I commissioned a 5-string medium scale version with the same pick-up arrangment hence the sale. It's just too similar to the new one and not getting the attention it deserves. I've owned it from new and bought directly from Alan at ACG. It's never been gigged and seen home use only; and is in excellent overall condition. There is one very small dink that I've tried to capture in the pictures. I've also included a picture of what looks like some indentations but are actually imperfections in the alder body that were there when built; these are under the lacquer and perfectly smoothed over. They just look like indentations in the picture! Everything else is in perfect working order; truss rod, pots etc. I also asked Alan to include an ebony-topped ramp that can be easiliy removed if you'd prefer. It's attached using doubled-sided tape. It's been recently set-up by Andrew at Anaconda Basses who also makes some brilliant instruments. I had Andrew fit a brass nut several years ago too. Currently strung with a set of Thomastik Jazz Flats but happy to change for a string of your choice before shipping. It sounds lovely with flats though! I’m happy to courier and the price quoted includes shipping. Also happy for you to collect from Reading or London. Scale length: 34” Body: Alder with White Limba top Neck: 3 piece maple (asymetric) Fingerboard: A very thick slab of rosewood with zero radius Pickup: ACG SB bridge and ACG PB neck (think P-bass!) Electronics: Volume, 4-way selector (front coil, both series, both parallel, back coil), tone Hardware: Hipshot B-style bridge and Gotoh tuners Weight: 7lbs 6oz (3.4kgs). Case: A Thomann branded hardcase in new condition for shipping or a Sandberg soft case depending on your preference A link to Alan's website for this bass: https://acguitars.co.uk/project/g012jtype5/ Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and you're more than welcome to come and try it out. I'm hoping for a straight sale but may be open to trades for a short scale with cash from me if needed. Some short scales that are high on my list include: Another ACG but a shortie Nordstrand Acinonyx Spector Bantam Lakland Hollowbody Musicman Stingray with a wad a cash from me!
  4. Spent a dreary Sunday afternoon rearranging and updating all 138 presets and I thought why not press record whilst doing it. The intention was just to see how the patches recorded and also check that each were roughly the same volume. There are so many patches of varying quality on the Neuro community, I thought I’d share in case people wanted to hear some ‘curated’ patches. The vast majority of these were created by @Quatschmacher who is just a patch creating wizard. The Meris Enzo, Dr Scientist Dusk (filter sweeps), and EBS Dynaverb make an occasional appearance. HEALTH WARNING: this is a 90 minute + recording of the same two bars on a continuous loop….. https://on.soundcloud.com/HAt6b9dqgaQVHLh17
  5. I’m interested in finding something similar that can also do polyphony. I’ve compared the Walrus Audio Luminary to the larger POG. The Luminary’s octave up sound was far more natural compared to the POG. The Luminary benefits from having a filter to take away those harsh high frequencies that give the POG that abrasive metallic sound. The tracking on both was superb even with complex chords. Next on my list to try is the MXR Poly Blue Octave and probably the Boss OC-5. The T-Rex looks interesting too! So many choices!! Good luck with the search 😀
  6. I think all the C4 users would greatly appreciate more @quatschmacher sounds!! ☺️
  7. Some pedal board bling? Very clean and very cool. https://youtu.be/QnLEDourcoc
  8. I’m interested in hearing other’s experiences too. I’m also wondering if the C4/Spectrum could get close, @Quatschmacher?
  9. Oh go on then….. Full spec at: https://www.acguitars.co.uk/project/0415retrob5-32/
  10. I haven’t tried it but the Aguilar DB925 might be worth a look: https://www.aguilaramp.com/effect-pedals/db925/
  11. I Plan to get the Micro too and was Also wondering this. Is the adapter even needed? Would a USB mini to USB mini be the only cable required? Like this one -
  12. You’ve outdone yourself once again @Quatschmacher with the latest batch of patches. I’m especially loving the Twins suite of filters. Recreating the Aguilar Twin pedal on my C4 has been on my to do list for a while. I knew both the C4 and Spectrum were capable of it and you nailed the sound. Thanks again for your stellar work with these patches.
  13. Sold to the gentleman in South Wales. Happy playing, Gary. Best, Jason
  14. Hello folks, Here's a great example of Alan's work. I'm selling due to my being a poorly student (and I also have another ACG to see me through these lean times!). This was originally a stock bass which I bought direct from Alan of ACG Guitars in 2010 for a very good price. It has never been gigged and is in mint condition (no dents, marks, scratches etc.). Recently set-up in July by the Bass Gallery in London, with a medium-low action and fresh set of Dunlop nickels. The 'ramp', which was also fitted by the Bass Gallery, is made from purple heart wood and is detachable. You are more than welcome to come round for a test drive and complimentary tea and biscuits. I'm based in North London. I'm also happy to post via courier, which should be around £50 with insurance. It'll also ship in a Hiscox hard case which is also in mint condition. I'm not open to trades unfortunately, as this is very much a fundraiser. Although, I might consider partial trades for a short scale bass. Feel free to ask any questions. Best, Jason Full spec below- Body and neck Ash body 3 piece Purpleheart/Maple asymmetrical neck 34" scale Goncalo Alves finger board with no radius Satin finish body and neck Hardware Hipshot Type A 18 mm bridge Hipshot Ultralite tuners ACG EQ01 filter-based pre-amp ACG SB single coil pickups Weight: 4.6kg Link to Alan's website with additional pictures - http://archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0068-finn-5-string/ This video gives a sense of the versatility of the filter pre-amp -
  15. Pm sent Jason
  16. I've an ACG bass that I've been contemplating moving on for a four stringer. Tickle your fancy? More pics on Alan's website: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/0068-finn-5-string/
  17. And this is what the alternate version sounds like in case you were wondering. Definitely a lot funkier. http://youtu.be/SECv7NARXPw
  18. This is a pretty acurate transcription of the slap version found on the alternate demo of the song. Not the same as the single version but it'll certainly give you something to play. http://cocosbassment.com/bass-archive/covers/?did=11 Hope it helps.
