  1. Sean sold me a GK MB150S amp. Amp was as described and safely packed. All good! Many thanks
  2. Marc bought my Serek bass. Friendly and communicative throughout, a pleasure to do business with!
  3. Interesting poll results. No consensus whatsoever but, if you add in permutations of amps and cabs mentioned by various BCers, probably cetera (noun: multiplicity of bass equipment) wins
  4. No, toys!
  5. Not sure the ohmage would work with 4x 8ohm cabs! Anyhow, still for sale at this bargainaceous price. I briefly toyed with selling as a package with my CMD 121 combo but have decided to keep that as a more flexible sounding alternative to my valvey old school Orange rig.
  6. Change of heart. This provides more flexible sounds than my Orange Terror Bass rig, so it's a useful alternative. Withdrawing
  7. Wow, two aluminium basses - guessing the newbie is the one burns bass was selling? Still got the Kolstein as well, Jack?
  8. I now have an Orange amp and cab (valvey old school), a Markbass combo and extension (more flexible sounds) and incoming Gallien combo (for DB). Just wondered if the collective BC wisdom is that this is excessive or just standard for us bass-type folks?
  9. The newest version of Markbass' flagship Mini CMD 121 combo, the V (with all functions eg DI on top). Bought new a few months ago, never left house and I have since decided to go the way of separates (again, I know....) plus I have a cheaper combo (GK) incoming as a DB friendly backup. It's worth too much to gather dust. New prices in UK are typically £800+ (eg, Andertons and PMT £859 each) and it comes with the official padded cover (cost me another £60). Altogether this is in region of £900 new. I will take £700 collected in a public space (not my house) in SW13 (Barnes, south of permanently closed Hammersmith Bridge). Specs here: https://www.markbass.it/product/mini-cmd-121-p-v/
  10. Fab, I know how patient you have been. Glad it lives up to its billing. Looks class
  11. and the price is rich, even for a butchered EB0. All kinds of avoid
  12. I just got quotes and post would be £15 not £20. So it's £280 collected, £295 posted
  13. What was the person that commissioned this after-market scratchplate thinking? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266715224345?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7RkpxCstRTq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=eqlPJw_SSty&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. @ricksterphil see post I have quoted here.
  15. If you could post the combo (minus cab) to me in London ...? Possibility maybe? If you would consider this, please send me a PM with all-inclusive price. Thanks Clarky
  16. I hope he gets pinged about this but, if you click on Kev's profile, he hasn't visited BassChat since May 2023
  17. I will throw in 48 hour delivery (UK only!) as part of the £300 price to make this ludicrously bargainaceous
  18. On hold 😀
  19. Looks like this may be on hold
  20. Hope this helps
  21. Bought recently from Andy Baxter and am only selling this lightweight characterful little bass so I can afford the Wilcock Mullarkey that's for sale on the forum - if that goes then this lovely bass will be withdrawn. If collected, it's a public space in SW13 London (Barnes, south of perma-closed Hammersmith Bridge). Otherwise delivery at cost but I will need to source a box first, which will take a few days. Here is blurb from Andy Baxter ad: 2022 Serek "The Grand" in Spumoni Foam Green with cherry pink stripes and a wenge fingerboard. This came from batch #4 which was released in 2022. Serial number: GRD-040. It's in near-mint condition with just a couple of very tiny marks and is supplied with its original Serek gig bag. "The Grand" is a short-scale (30.5″) bass with a bolt-on roasted maple neck. It has Hipshot USA hardware and a TV Jones Thunder’Blade pickup. It has 1 volume and a 3-way switch. With the switch in the centre position the tone is full / towards the bridge its off and up towards the neck engages the fuzz circuit. Fully set up in our workshop with low action. Strung with La Bella low-tension flats. From the Serek site “What can I say about the Grand? I could tell you that it’s probably the coolest short-scale bass we’ve built yet… I could mention the magic of the passive on-board Serek “Skuzz Serkit” and TV Jones Thunder’Blade pickup. Maybe you’d want to hear tales of roasted maple necks and racing stripes and Hipshot hardware? Or maybe you could just experience it for yourself…” Model: The Grand Nut Width: 1 5/8″ Nut Type: Bone Scale Length: 30.5″ Frets: 21 Med/Narrow Nickel Fingerboard Radius: 12″ Fingerboard: Wenge Body Wood: Alder Neck Wood: Roasted Maple Weight: 7 lbs. Tuners: Hipshot Licensed Ultralite Bridge: Hipshot USA Vintage Style Bridge Pickups: TV Jones Thunder’Blade Humbucker Controls: Vol, 3-way (Skuzz Serkit, Open, Tone Rolled Off) Finish: Satin Spumoni Foam Green w/ Cherry Pink Stripes Pickguard: Decoboom custom engraved Polka Dot pickguard, Black/Cherry Pink Case: Custom Heavy-Duty Gig Bag And link with tons of better pics than I could ever manage: https://www.andybaxterbass.com/products/serek-the-grand-foam-green-from-batch-4-2022
