1. Yeh a Yamaha TRB-5 is a possibility. There's a BB Nathan East for sale too which I think/hope is pretty wide too but it's ages since I've seen one close up.
2. Cheers. You're right - two grand isn't happening any time soon . The Lakland is definitely a thought!!
3. Hi, I'm trying to track down a five string which is much more like a four (spacing wide) than most fives seem to be. Even if they are 19mm at the bridge they still seem to get down to very fiddly at the nut (9mm seems common as compared with 12mm on an average 4 string). I have big hands and although I *can* play a five I find most of them too closely spaced at the nut. Any bright ideas for what might suit. Even better if anybody has something for sale (have around 900 quid to spend). Any thoughts very much appreciated.
4. Bizzare pre-Christmas flood of interest. PM's replied to.
5. Some very positive interest but nobody has quite yet pushed pound notes into my hand. As there is something else I am very interested in this definitely for sale. £850 would definitely do it. We can work out postage and it will come in a hard case (not a musicman one).
6. I'm possibly being stupid, but I have no idea what bass you are trading.......
7. PMs answered. Still here... any vaguely sensible hard cash or trade offer considered.
8. I've always wanted one of these. If someone buys my Stingray-5 (which is looking a bit unlikely) then a bid will be made. In the mean time, have a bump
9. Still here for sale or trade......
10. Four - all Musicman. Three 4-strings and one 5-string. I have a constant internal battle with 5-strings - I think I need one but haven't gigged with a 5 in years!
11.
sorry for my bad english and thanks for the corrections! yes, the bass has been played hard, a lot of vibrations for its wood!!!!
It's much, much better than my Italian Have a bump and good luck with the sale!
12. A price is required (unless I missed it - possible!) EDIT - "FT", I'm an idiot. Good luck
13. Ha ha ha ha.... oh those funny foreigners
14. Interesting bass.... but hardly played??
15. Saturday morning bump. Now for sale. Let's say £900 but, of course, all genuine offers will be considered. I have a few generic cases, so it will come in something solid. Will either post at cost to the buyer or (even better) meet up half way for a contribution to the diesel fund!
16.
Really sorry not to have responded... I missed your post. I used to have a Ray 5 and your natural one is a stunner but I think I'm after something more 'jazz' like now, but all the best with your sale. I'm also thinking I may just try for a straight sale as I think I might look into trying out a load of basses at BassDirect and actually buy a new instrument for a change. Martin
np... good luck with you sale. It's very pretty indeed!
17. Should I take that as "shove your Stingray-5" up your ........", then?
18.
well I have a quality, well built 4 string, wide string spacing and lot's of natural low end.... and not in the same price bracket as this!
I'm guessing T-40 right? I've heard nothing but good things about these but I also hear that they are really heavy? I'm too old and knackered for heavy......
19. misplaced optimism bump...... anyone?
20. Monday morning and it's snowing bump... C'mon try me, all interesting trades considered. Friendly reply guaranteed
21. Oooh... very pretty. Any interest in http://basschat.co.uk/topic/160379-ft-musicman-stingray-5-natural-wood ?? Failing that, have a bump and good luck.
22. Thank **** it's Friday Bump.....
23. Midweek bump. Just a reminder... looking to trade for a wide-spacing 5 string (18mm ish) or would definitely have a think about something nice in a four-string. Not really a Fender Jazz kinda guy and prefer bass guitars with some bass in them......
24. You may want to change the title to reflect that this is a Tribute (as opposed to a USA model). Other than that - great bass. Used to have one - excellent value for the money!
