1.
Check this for tightness.
I love this board! Here's my homework for tonight!

 3. Thanks to everyone who's bought our album so far it's greatly appreciated. The album is now available as a "name your price" download to coincide with our being featured on the Pink Mist Collective's site Www.pinkmist.co.uk If you like us then check out the labels associated with them as you'll probably find some more bands that will likely float your boat.
 4.
D-L-B - I've had a request to interview you for my 'Interviews about effects' section of my blog. I'll be in touch soon if you fancy it.
Yeah, no problem, I'd be more than happy to do it.
 5.
A bass whammy? Ya lucky bastard.. Good luck on that new board though, this one's pretty cramped.. even for what I've seen. I would like to know why you have 2 different pitchshifter/harmony pedals there.. Also, how do you run that bass wah? I could never get it to sound good for me..
I actually have 2 Bass Whammies! (It's good to keep a back up ) I use the Boss PS-3 mainly for delays and sometimes the occasional bit of noise making (I originally intended to use it with an expression pedal for whammying since you can dial in any harmony combination and blend you want but I preferred the sound of the Bass Whammy). The Wah I really struggled with to get any useful sounds at first. I only really like it with the Q sweep quite low and in front of the Boss PW-2, the heavy mids from the drive give that deep belching sound. I only ever used it for recording and I've replaced it with a Mad Professor Snow White Auto Wah now.
 6. Thanks for all the love, guys! We actually do have tees too! http://alphamaleteaparty.bigcartel.com/product/alpha-male-tea-party-rubber-ducky-tee
 7.
Hey, still selling??
Yep. Both still available. Have replied to your PM.
 8. Haha. Thought you might find this. Sorry I've been tardy Getting back to you. I'm up visiting my parents for the weekend and haven't had a chance to write a meaty reply yet. I uploaded this photo then had to get off the train. You will be please to know we will be playing Nottingham in the first week of August I'll get back to you on the venue details. The new board is going to be super neat and a bit less cramped with more versatile loops.
 9. What it looked like before I ripped it to bits last week. Watch this space for the latest incarnation...
 10. So, my band, alpha male tea party, finally completed and released our debut album back in April after spending about a year recording and mixing the damn thing. The entire album was recorded in our small rehearsal room by ourselves and mixed and mastered by our guitarist, Tom Peters. Since this is the finished article constructive criticism pertaining to the recordings themselves isn't really invited. I'm more putting this up for fellow BCers to hear (and possibly buy ). For those of you that choose to buy I promise to donate £1 from every sale generatred through Basschat towards the upkeep of the site. http://www.alphamaleteaparty.bandcamp.com/ Thanks. Dan.
 11.
buy this man's LP ^^^^^^^ ! i just did. it kills. http://alphamaleteaparty.bandcamp.com/

+1 played some of the tracks from the site and am now awaiting the CD ..although I was less than impressed by the confirmatory email: If you haven’t gotten your download already... ugh. What's wrong with "received" ?
Thanks very much fellas! Bandcamp are responsible for the "gotten", not us! Anyway, I've just got(ten) back from a short break this afternoon and gone straight in to work so I'll get them in the post tomorrow morning for you. (I've wanted to put a link up for BCers to hear my band since we finished the album in April but wasnt sure exactly where to put it. If I were to post in the Recording section I wouldn't want it to be misconstrued as me merely trying to flog some albums ) Back on topic though, the album does contain both finger and pick playing... Dan
 12. I haven't read the entire thread so I may be repeating somebody else. I've always thought that by deliberately limiting the techniques and resultant tones available to you when playing you're limiting yourself as a player. Simple. I imagine there must be some kind of childish competitive angle on it whereby it's far easier to compare yourself to others when what you're comparing is whittled down to a very specific element.
 13. Yes! Glad you like us. I feel famous now If you don't already have the album I can send you a download code if you like? Hurry! Hurry! Genuine amplifiers used by D-L-B to record the AMTP album! Own this piece of music history!
 14. Hi, I have two of these for sale. They have been housed in a 4U rack case for the duration of my ownership and stored in our hermetically sealed studio to be used once a week for the fast year or so. One is in mint condition the other has some slight buffing-off of the black on the rack handles on the face of the amp from it's previous owner. These are cracking amps with almost limitless tone tweaking options and plenty loud. I have never experienced any problems with either of these and would be keeping hold if it was just the one I need but I run stereo now and for the sake of my back I need to go lighter. All the specs can be found here: http://www.ampeg.com...3pro/index.html £400 each. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Thanks, Dan.
 15.
I've recently acquired a SVT-3 Pro USA, a 210 and 115, both USA as-well. They both run 200w at 8ohms.

Is this the right cab pairing for the head? I love the option of having 2 cabs, but I cant help but think I should get something at 4 ohms.
by using the two cabs you have you are already running at 4 ohms!
 16. Any opinions on the slightly more pricey and ridiculously tiny Markbass Micromark?
 17.
what do you guys think about the carl martin octabass? andy
I recently bought an Octaswitch and it's solved my pedal and loop switching problems. Really simple to use, no programming or sifting through banks, just set up the loops you want using the switches and play. They can be had for a fraction of the price of other systems too. A great bit of kit and although it is rather chunky it totally justifies it's place on my board. Get one.
