2.
Has anyone else had a drummer freak out on them? I play regularly with a drummer friend of mine in a few different bands (a big band, a '50s tribute show and a function type outfit) and I've know him personally for about 15 years. Over the last few weeks i've noticed that he's been slowing down during numbers (especially during upbeat numbers) and didn't know whether it was through bad practice, no practice or intentionally pulling the band back for effect. it's worth noting at this point that when i notice him slowing down i try to push him with what i'm playing but he usually clean ignores me. Knowing what a sensitive issue this sort of thing is with drummers, I spoke to him about it in the car on the way back from a rehearsal the other day (I didn't want it to seem like I was having a go at him in front of people/ peers/ colleagues). I spoke in the most inoffensive way I know how tried to be constructive yet-not- patronising and asked if a) he was aware of the problem and to please correct it. Toys out of pram - hasn't spoken to me properly since. how should I have approached this? I mean, none of us like to be told we're wrong, but I was trying to help - he's not a bad drummer and I wouldn't like to think he might lose work because of an issue like this (the tempo not the stropping) was this a rant? if so, I'm done
he may be unwell?? or try a click track, but do tell him.....
 3. morning all, i think we are very close to a deal now on this, untill i say sold on here though keep trades coming in or £600 cash.......cheers ........

 12.
Other than shape the two basses have very little in common. Body of the 1000 series is splined, not glued - to improve transmission/sustain. P pickup now uses the blade design - in theory producing a more even output. J pickup has been redesigned - to increase overall output. Bridge is a different alloy - to improve transmission. Saddles are angled at the contact point with the string - to produce a finer witness point. Fret wire is a harder alloy. Nut material is the same as the fret wire - to make the tone of open and fretted notes the same. Stringing can be through body to improve transmission - at an angle to reduce string stress at the bridge. Not saying that any of those points make the 1000 series "great" though.
wow lots of tweeks there but in the scale of things for 500 less i may go for the 615, that seemed a decnet bass and good active, many tones. thank you for the details.
 13. not sure, but they are both great i remember trying a jazz (jap) a few years back and thinking this is great..........great deal to be had there fella.
 14. aw cheers fellas, well as the fender guy i took it to said the neck is stronger at the repair than before, any further work would be purly for looks.....and lets face it guys, people pay for MOJO....with this bass you get it free! anyway, you can tell on the you tube vids that im loving this bass....i would never have used it if not. As for weight with me on scale...12.1 stone with me and bass 12.9...not sure if this is a good way but seems the bass weighs 8lbs. I have 2 very interested parts on this right now, so i guess 1st one to agree gets it, im trying to answer any qs as soon as poss, my number is 07757875566 for any qs. will be happy to pass serial number by txt. i had it verifeid by fender 1992-94 usa 62 reissue..... cheers chapes..
 15.
So, the neck was fixed, not replaced..? That worries me... :s
fair play.....its been like that for over 10 years.......as said the person that plays this will not worry mate.
 16.
Hi Guys, Ive got an OLP stingray for sale. Its a natural wood finish with 1 pick up and 3 band passive eq. A guy is interested in it and has asked if I would give him €200 and the OLP for his Tokai Jazz. The Tokai is 80's and mint. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal? How much are each of these bass's worth. Sorry if these questions are a bit lame but Im not really up to speed on whats what as Ive owned and played a Fender P for the last 18 years. Thanks for any help gentlemen. Mick
bite the guys hand off....those tokai hard punchers are awesome, and very rare, im out for one myself....
 17. hey guys iv got my usa fender P in the for sale bit, but was wondering if anyone has tried the yamaha Bb1024/5 ? i cant help thinking that it seems a little expensive, but i have not been up close to it.Is the workmanship better on this than say the bb6 series? at around the 700 mark your kinda touching in usa bass department. I have always liked the early trbs and ihad a bb5000 years ago, i liked that but it was a little honky. Got my hands on a 615 today, that had a great sound and he price was cheap.....so whats great about the BB1024/5?? cheers Fellas
 18.
That's a lovely bass. Great price too. Mine is newer but still fab. Have a bump
cheers pal

 21. DEAL DONE NO LONGER FOR SALE PENDING MEET .....CHEERS ALL AND THANKS FOR GREAT OFFERS 5 string to trade???? with the tweed case....why selling a £1700 bass for £600? because many years ago the bass had a break to the neck which was fixed, and is solid. I have had this bass for a year, and its nothing but a joy to play, the sound is awesome, its a real players bass. I have loads of clear you tube at bassmanrich44 the slap stuff was done with duff strings. I bought this because i got into a buddy holly tribute, but now am in a rock band, and it sounds great, but im after a 5 string, thats my thing really. This bass is truly stunning it looks and feels amazing no buckle rash, hardly any dings no paint loss, only that repair. Before i bought the bass i had it on trail for 2 weeks i took it to 2 dealers both said the join to be solid and stronger than the original! Any one looking for a speacial P bass with soul this is it chaps. Tne ash trays are not fixed, but there to show, no holes have been drilled. The bass is a 1994 62 or 64 reissue, and comes with the tweed case as it came from the shop. I love this bass, but looking for something else (maybe) im not fussed if it does not sell to be honest. Looking for cash on collection/cheque but preferred is bank transfer. The price includes aps overnight delivery. Please call for more info on 07757875566. Who ever buys this bass will love it. Its a Proper P bass! I get many comments both live and on you tube regarding the look and tone of this class bass. The bass belong originally to a pro player, then he sold it to a mate of mine who had it 6 years then i bought it. There is about £350 off because of the break but TBH it is real mojo for a pro bass with its own soul! Rich on 07757875566
