1. Typical really, I was looking at buying 2 of these new and then 2 Purple Chili 1x12's came along...
2. I think Jah Wobble uses the Ashdown BTA400. This must be a hell of an amp!
3.
Pulling out was the best choice. The promoter was taking the mick there!
Pulling out was definitely the best choice but we have a good few people who travel to see us. It had been advertised for a while too, so rather than sit at home, do nothing and disappoint folk we decided to do it. Once we got the PA sorted of course. I spoke to the promoter and it sounds like is heart is in the right place but he is genuinely 'clueless'. He reckons he has put loads of bands on and all of them had brought their own PA. Considering the artist 'agreement', I don't think he even knows what a PA is. It sounds to me that he may have put a few bands on in a couple of pubs before...
4. Punched plates on Ebay - Serial - 407790. Fender 1973/74 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ae76adcf5
5.
Bump,for dunc ;-)
Cheers Kev, your Eden 2x10 and this 1x15 make a great combination! For the price of the two that we are asking, you couldn't buy the flight cases they come in!
6. Amazing! 20 bids on an old bit of woodchip paper. I wonder if they regret bidding now!
7. Update! They have come up with the money for a PA! Saying that, it's from the lad we always use and we get a ridiculously cheap rate for an excellent rig from him. It would have enlightened them more if they'd paid full whack though! Still, a good result I suppose... I think...
8. Bought a cab from George today. Exactly as described. He dropped it off too! No worries here. Deal with confidence. Thanks George. Cheers Dunc
9.
Well I used to think it was just snare and cymbals, but after a couple of gigs on drums I started to notice how variable it is! Now I take everything except the toms and kick drum.
+1. That's exactly what we do. I wonder what the 'promoter' would have thought if we had turned up without the toms and kick!
10.
So if they're expecting you to provide the PA, they're also expecting you to be there all day running said PA, all night for the after festival party AND play a gig slot all for £200... ...sod that.
For some reason, he expects every band to bring their own PA that day? A different planet comes to mind...
11.
Name and shame I say. Save the rest of us the hassle!
Into The Valley Festival in Clitheroe (Ribble Valley). Venue for aftershow party - The Rose and Crown. Promoter Mr Potter...
12. If in the agreement it stated - Artist to provide backline and 'breakables', what would you think you had to provide and take to the venue? Well I thought, amps, guitars etc and drum accessories. The venue we were supposed to be playing on Saturday actually now expects us to take a full kit and the PA! No problem about the kit but supply the PA for an aftershow party at a festival? The promoter seems a bit miffed that we have cancelled at short notice (as they wont supply the rig) but the truth is we would never have agreed if PA support wasn't provided and it was certainly implied in the agreement. I tried to explain what their agreement stated but they seem oblivious and reckon everyone else has turned up with a kit and a PA in the past? I wonder if bands just carry around a spare rig on the off chance? By the way, we were only getting paid £200! Anybody else had problems with "promoters"?
13. Might be a Satellite photograph?
14. Eden E300 head. Great condition. Only a couple of hour use. Still have original packaging. Will ship. You can arrange your own courier or if I send it, it will cost £21.60 fully insured with Direct Courier Solutions. Alternatively, you can collect or may be able to meet up. I'm in Blackburn Lancs.
15. Silly price now! Now looks like I've managed to pick another lightweight up so this is back up for sale. Good condition. Powerful 1x15 cab. Was the matching 15 to the Eden 2x10 that Bc'er Kevvo66 is selling on here. They sound great together. Will be expensive to ship but you are welcome to arrange a courier, pick up or may be able to meet up. Trade for, what have you got? Decent spec laptop? I'm in Blackburn Lancs.
16. And I think I just got the last set of 4's! Thanks for the tip!!!!!
17.
A '71 http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2736978 Spot the differences!
Ah Ha! A real 71 doesn't have a no smoking sticker on it then!
18. Nothing looks like it's from a Fender to me. I should imagine the no smoking sticker is a fake too...
19. Wish I could shift my LM3. I think I'd have this!

Traded basses with Will. The Starfire I got was exactly as described. He went out of his way to make the deal work too, which was much appreciated. Great communication and an all round good guy. Deal with absolute confidence. Thanks again Will. Cheers Dunc
