1. Its back without stating its a Fender http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Japan-Jazz-Bass-early-70er-/261319490395?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cd7dafb5b
2. Maybe a collector snapped it up?
3. According to the video the Peavey T-40 has a reputation for being over-weight and under rated. Does that sound familiar guys? Bump for a top bass...
4. Why has this not sold bump...
5. Its back but without stating its a Fender. I don't know if the seller is mad or bad to try and pass this off as a Fender. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Japan-Jazz-Bass-early-70er-/261319490395?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cd7dafb5b but it has the best sound! I think the last time it had new strings it must have been the 60's!
6. Oh no, I now have terrible visions in my head...
7. They don't make it like they used to you know!
8. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4178c27f7d "Whoever gets this will be getting something really classy"!!!!
9.
So where did you un-earth this then?
Unearthed from guitarfail.com, its an enlightening site with the worst possible basses and guitars....
10. Well I never...
11. Had one of these in the eighties. Same colour. Brilliant piece of kit. Mine had some weight to it too...
12. I had one of these until recently. It was by far the best piece of kit I have ever owned. I only sold it as my back is a bit knackered now and decided to downsize. I ridiculously struggled to move it on as I don't think folk know what these combos actually are. If I was to compare, the nearest thing would be an original SWR Redhead only it doesn't have the space for a single rackmount but even that's not completely accurate. All you need to do with these is set everything flat, set your gain and master and you are off! I used mine with a 4x10 Ashdown Mag Deep. Being long throw, it virtually never went through a rig, even at 800 capacity venues. It blew my pants off every time we played. I regret not having mine now so if there is anyway you could keep it I would reconsider selling it. They are brilliant. I am very tempted to get a quote for a courier...
13. I'm not saying what happened to me was a deliberate scam but it shows how easy ebay make it to rip someone off - I sold an item for £40.00. I posted it the next day at a cost of £8.00 via myhermes. 2 weeks later a case was opened against me saying that the item had not been received. The buyer had not contacted me prior to the case being opened. I checked the tracking number and it said the item had been delivered and a signature was obtained. Ebay wanted more evidence to prove I had sent it? I gave them all the details including screen shots showing where and when I had dropped it off, every port of call on the way, screenshot of the signature and date of delivery. They were given everything I had which I thought was more than enough evidence. It was not enough. They then wanted evidence that the buyer had received the item? How in gods name do I do that when they already have proof of delivery? The case was found against me and the buyer was given a full refund from my paypal account! It seems all you need to do is say you have not received an item despite all the evidence. I cannot get through to myhemes either to try and claim on the £50.00 insurance I took out! I cant see myhermes paying compensation for something they have evidence they have delivered either. If I sell anything on ebay now it is collection in person or send your own courier...
14. Sounds cheap enough to me http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WARWICK-ROCKBASS-W50972IH-S-/151154156798?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item23317d64fe
15. Reliced amps now!!! 16. Ah! The old cash offer scenario no doubt...
17. It would seem that heavy relicing (if there is such a word) is in vogue. Some interesting customer reviews too - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-SQUIER-STRATOCASTER-MIJ-JAPAN-AGED-RELIC-CONDITION-MUST-SEE-/321234257156?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4acb0dc504
18. Would you agree that its been upgraded? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAVY-RELIC-STRATOCASTER-STRAT-MEXICAN-PICKUPS-CONTROLS-RAYGUN-RELICS-/400591243867?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item5d45194a5b
19. If only I had money to burn http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-1975-Precision-bass-/171155722620?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item27d9ad117c
20. Definitely more like a Les Paul than an SG. I think these were a cutaway LP despite the SG name. A mate of mine has an SG2000 from the early 80's and that is the best guitar I have ever come across (Early Santana and Jake Burns). Another mate has an SG500, again another great guitar. I have a Yamaha Studio Lord 360 which looks like a Les Paul but sounds uncannily like the SG2000. Good old Yamaha in the 80's. Love em..
21. Sounds cheap enough to me - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TC-Electronic-BG250-1-x-15-Bass-guitar-combo-amplifier-with-Toneprint-BARGAIN-/310769086069?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item485b47ee75
22. I have just upgraded my MacBook 13.3 Intel Duo 2.2ghz with 2gb ram for am Imac 24" (the eyesight is not what it was!) so the MacBook has to go. I am also parting with my Phonic Helix MK2 Firewire 24 as I no longer need anything that big and have opted to move down to an M-audio unit that is good enough for my needs now. The Mac has the usual cracks on the casing and the power supply needs a jiggle now and again but all in all its fine. It has a copy of Logic 9 plus Office software etc installed. I think its an 80gb hdd but will have to check for sure when I set it all back up and test it all out. I also have an old but fully functional Sherwood amp, 2 Celestion KR2's 100w speakers (that I used as monitors) that I will throw in if interested. This is a bit of a feeler to see if anyone would like to buy the lot together? I have had decent results and together they more or less make a complete home studio. You could even multi-track record a full band live as there are plenty of channels. £500 plus shipping for the lot or offers to split. As soon as I have checked it out I will update and put up pics. I'm in Blackburn, Lancs and you are welcome to come and have a look...
23. Somebody may have mentioned him here but Lanar Brantley (Lady Ga Ga) is something else. He does his own band too with not so big gigs. I don't do 'really good bass players' (as good its a matter of taste) but this guy is something else. Even on low volume he sounds like an army... Not really my bag but he (to me) is the most outstanding player I have ever heard...
24. After many months of the new conservatory being built, I have finally said no! Its all mine. No longer shall I be pushed into the back of beyond! Its mine, she is sick, the kids are well confused. In 36 hours I have (in my opinion) written an excellent track with Logic because I have some room!! Any bass player out there considering an extension consider this - Is it yours? or is it your partners? Don't fall for the sex thing either. All they want is a place to turn the heating off in winter... They might be smart.... but not that smart.
