1. Just bought a Silver Series Jazz from Steve. Brilliant bass and a very nice chap to deal with. He even delivered it to my door! I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him in future. Thanks again Steve! Cheers Dunc
2. Unexpectedly back up for sale due to recent buys. Redsub BT5110 combo in good condition. It runs stand alone at 250w and 500w with an extension cab. The head is detachable so if there's already a bass cab at a gig or rehearsal you wont have much to carry! Its only been gigged and rehearsed a couple of times and otherwise has lived at home as a practice amp. I originally bought this from new as faulty but when it arrived there was nothing wrong with it. The mute button was on... Which incidentally pinged off but can still be used. Eventually it did develop a small problem which turned out to be the input jack. I took the detachable head out, took the top off and pushed the connector in and it came back on good as new. I put some insulation tape over it just to be sure it didn't come loose again. Its been perfect since. These really are an excellent piece of kit and its loud enough for me to rehearse (without an extension speaker) with 2 guitarists, singer and drummer banging out Clash songs. I've used it on its own live and it was fine as a monitor. We always use PA support so I have never had the need to push it. I have a 10" 250w Promethean extension speaker too and when paired they throw out a lot of volume. I can ship but I would prefer pick up so the buyer can check it out first. Cheers Dunc
3. Clone Theory. Virtually new. Probably only used 4 or 5 times. Comes with box and power supply. Cheers Dunc
4. Rat distortion. The best distortion in my humble opinion. I bought this to replace my old one that somebody trashed at the rehearsal rooms and its not getting any use now so it may as well get passed on to someone who will use it. It works fine, sounds great and is in decent condition. Theres some chips along the edges but they are built like tanks so they cause no problems the the unit. It has an adaptor so that a standard 9v supply will connect. I have also replaced the battery cover screw. The battery terminals are clean (I have only ever used it via 9v adaptor). I dont know how old it is but the chips on the edges dont happen overnight so I would imagine its a good few years old. I also dont know what chip is in it. Ideally for sale but would consider trade for a Boss TU-3 Cheers Dunc
5. Hi, I've had a look on the web (just googled squier sp10 bass) and its a mixed bag really. Some folk say no but some say yes? I think it was made for guitar and not bass really. I suppose if played with a lot of bass it would eventually damage the speaker but I'm not sure about the amp. Hope this helps. Cheers Dunc
6. Tiny practice amp that I got in a trade. 6" speaker. Everything seems to work ok. Quite loud for its size. Nice clean channel. Horrible OD channel. Condition is ok, no rips etc. £18 posted or collect from Blackburn BB2. Cheers Dunc
7. I have this posted as parts under other musical instruments but it may as well go up for sale complete as well. Complete details - Ply body, Fender decal (decal has some ridges under the lacquer but looks ok). I'm not sure what is was but its a generic copy. The white is going creamy so it must be an older copy. It feels nice enough but I dont know what the pickups sound like as it has no strings and for some reason I cant find packets upon packets of spares I have at home! Theres a couple of small dings but nothing major. Neck looks straight and feels like a P. 42mm at nut and 64 at heel. Photos at photobucket. Link below http://s871.photobuc...y?sort=3&page=1 Details of parting out and more description here - http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Postage should be about £12.00 or you can collect from Blackburn BB2. Cheers Dunc
8. Another amusing description http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Soviet-BULGARIAN-SEMIHOLLOW-BASS-GUITAR-ORFEUS-HEBROS-fom70s-/181390661843?pt=Guitar&hash=item2a3bb9d8d3
9. Serial is IC041131369. Indonesia - Cort - 2004? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-squier-standard-jazz-bass-electric-guitar-slim-neck-1980s-/131174180548?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item1e8a9726c4
10. Hi, its generic. Probably something like a Westfield? Cheers Dunc
11. This bass started life as a Classic Vibe. I changed the neck as I needed an extra fret (I had to move the bridge as to get the intonation right). I do not have the original neck. The bass is in great shape. Theres one ding on the body and a small mark on the headstock (both in the photos). Apart from that its really clean. The body, pups bridge etc are stock. I bought the neck from a BCer and was told it was European in origin. A Fender decal has been applied and I must say, whoever applied it and refinished the headstock did a really good job. It really looks the part. It also has Fender Corona neckplate fitted. Reason for sale - recent and pending acquisitions. SHE has noticed that my collection is growing so something must go but saying that I may trade against something like a JV, SQ Squier or a cheap 70's Precision/Jazz if anyone is looking to downgrade but still keep a bass. It weighs in at 4.1 kg on digital bathroom scales, 40mm at the nut and 64mm at the heel. Postage should be around £11.00 or you can come and collect (try it out) from Blackburn BB22SH. Photos at link below http://s871.photobuc...z?sort=3&page=1 Cheers Dunc
12. Olympic white body (ply) ageing nice and creamy. Some dings but nothing bad. Crack in paint near neck pocket (as shown in photos) 64mm at pocket so should fit standard Fender/Squier neck. 2.1kg on digital bathroom scales. £40 posted or £50 posted with original bridge/screws strap buttons and 13 hole red tort scratchplate (the screws were non original and some were too big. I can include them though). 21 fret P style neck. 42mm at the nut and 64mm at heel). Fender decal applied under nitro. To be honest it looks like its got some ridges when up close but it doesn't look bad. The face of the headstock is a bit more aged than the rest of the neck. £35 posted or £45 posted with the original Fender style tuners (that look in good condition), screws, ferules, neckplate and screws. Photos here - http://s871.photobuc...rt=3&page=1 Or collect from Blackburn BB2. Possible trade for Boss TU tuner Cheers Dunc
13. Classic quotes "manufactured by the Bulgarian company DM -clone -Furniture" and "For some reason it's a pretty rare sight" !!!! Great sales patter too, "hefty weight with a quite thick neck". That would seal the deal for me!
14.
That's rather underwhelming. I was hoping for this.
Perhaps he tried to repair it after this - https://www.youtube....h?v=6IMD7WJb7Nk Or this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeicBoeq_Yc
