1.
Or a toast rack..?
We should sell this idea to Ikea!
 2. Cheap combo http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ashdown-Mag-200-Bass-combo-/111350359931?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item19ecffa77b Says £60 in the description.
 3.
A possible bargain if you live in Stoke-on-Trent. I'm assuming something could probably be done about that vertiginous action...
I hadn't noticed the action but it could come in handy for keeping your sandwiches flat...

 5. One of the locals does a jam night. Often, one particular band turn up, set up their PA and play loads of songs? Its a gig really. If anybody else wants a jam they get a bit miffed and dont like others using any of their gear (bear in mind they have taken all the available space for any more equipment up with theirs!). If by chance somebody else gets the chance to play something, their guitarist who knows every song ever written quickly joins in (closely followed by his bass player and singer) and take over. Its quite ridiculous really. Whatever happened to 'lets play something in A'!
 6. Found these. Dont know anything about them but they claim to be specialists - http://www.directcou...instruments.php On the face of it they sound reasonable prices too... Must be shipped in customised hard cases or if not at customers own risk. Whatever that means...
 7.
Hopi ear candles are a total con. I had one done at a spa once, didn't make any difference, plus when it's burnt out they unravel it to show you how a load of powder inside that they claim came from your ear, when in fact if you burn one of these without an ear involved you get the same deposit inside at the end. After 34 years of using nothing but cotton buds, I put my head under the bath one day and the water never came out of my ears, and I was stuck partially deaf for 3 months. I first tried alcohol drops from the pharmacy, followed by olive oil then sodium bicarb drops prescribed by the doctor, but all that did is make a big sludgy cocktail in there. Eventually got them 'syringed' which I later learned isn't actual syringing anymore, but 'ear irrigation'. They basically have a tiny little jet pulsing warm water into your ear and it dislodges anything up there in a few minutes. It was all quite relaxing and my level of hearing was a revelation after. No more weird pops or ringing noises either, when I was scared I was getting tinnitus! Got the lecture about not using cotton buds, but still do - just on the outer part of the ear though!
Its honestly took chunks out of mine that were like plugs. The Mrs has been doing hopi candles for 20 odd years so there may well be a knack to it. The wax has to be softened first (olive oil for a few days) and that the candle is inserted properly and deep enough. I can only presume that when the tube is lit, the heat creates some sort of vacuum that draws out the wax. If the candle isn't inserted properly perhaps the wax doesn't have enough draw to remove it. As its a holistic treatment, I suspect that if its really bad then the syringing that you mention may well be the better option.
 8. My Mrs does Hopi ear candles. She inserts some sort of wax tubes into my ears and sets fire to them! I was scared stiff at first but I actually found it quite relaxing! That works for me. She reckons if its severe to put a few drops of olive oil in (day and night) for a few days before the treatment. You can have them done at holistic therapists and some beauty salons. You can buy them yourself and get somebody else to hold them etc but she doesn't recommend it incase the candles are inserted wrongly. Dont be scared!
 9. There's loads of little 1x10 combos now with a DI that are more than capable of providing adequate monitoring for the whole band. I'm not so sure about an 8" though. Ibanez, Redsub, Harley Benton (500w versions getting harder to find), Ashdown, Mark etc. Any of these should solve your issues.
 10. Hi Bob. I dont think you can, well I've never been able to. I've read of other folk having the same problem too. I just usually put the new price in the title or in the post. Hope this helps. Cheers Dunc
 11.
And CityLink once put a 'you were not at home and we could not deliver' card through my letterbox while I was standing in my hall. By the time I had opened the door the guy was speeding off down the road.
Ah ha! Your Avatar! The first time that I ever saw that pic was today!
 12.
Another bass I'd love, if only my ampeg would sell.
It really is a beauty. I'll be sad to see it go...
 13.
With a bit of judicious use of spacers, he could make that into a 5-string guitar for people with big hands.
14. Affinity P bass. May split if enough interest. The bass is in good shape with virtually no scratches etc. Theres nothing notable, maybe a couple of surface scratches. The strings are rusty around the pickups and a couple of the poles have a bit of surface rust. The previous owner told me that the pickups buzz. After tightening up the volume and tone controls (they were very loose) everything is fine. Photos at- http://s871.photobuc...r?sort=3&page=1 Will ship with neck off. I'm not sure of a price but it should be about £15.00 or collect from Blackburn BB2. Cheers Dunc
 15. There's a 62 P recently been put on ebey. He put in a link to the pic below.
 16.
He must mean that it's missing a saddle (it's only got five), not a bridge.
I really must get my eyes tested...
