    Hello everyone I know I am a bit dense when it comes to new things but I do need help with this one. I have just bought a lovely Ibanez SR500 off the forum. It is a bit too crisp for me as it is. Is it okay to put a nice set of flats on it or will this just take away the character or the bass. I love the bass but prefer a more old school heavy sound. All advice gratefully accepted.     Just received Gareth's delicious SR500. It is an absolute stunner and dealing with Gareth was a pleasure. Quick, easy, hassle free with top communications. Gareth even drove from his home to near where I live so that the bass arrived safely. Top man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can deal with Gareth with confidence, he is a top BC'er.

    Just bought a lovely 91 Korean Squier P from Alan. What a lovely smooth transaction, no fuss, no hassle just really easy. He is a star and this is what Bass chat is all about. Cheers Alan.     Tim bought my as new Squier VM Bass V1 on Friday. He come to my house, played it, paid, and took it home. What a lovely smooth transaction and exactly what Bass Chat is all about. Tim is a top man and a pleasure to deal with. I can highly recommend him. Nice one Tim!

    I bought this on Monday 23rd Sept, this week from Vintage and Modern in Thame. It is as new as new can be, only played it twice and quickly realised why I had changed from 6 to 4 strings. I like 4 stringed basses, I don't like 6 strings, why did I think I would????????????? Anyway it is in lovely Olympic White with Tortie scratch plate, block markers and bound fretboard, it is extremely good quality and plays really well straight from the box. I paid £272 for it and had to order it in. I would like £230 for it please and am happy to ship, I still have the box that it came in. You are more than welcome to come and try it out. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, the kettle is always on. Thanks for looking.     For sale is my bass rig which comprises an excellent condition Warwick Pro-Fet 3.2 head. This sits on top of 2 Hartke 2x10 XL series cabs each providing 200 watts of power. The head is very powerful and gives some superb sounds, it has a deep switch and a bright switch, a built in compressor and a contour switch. There are a few minor marks on the top of the head and a bit of marking on the cabs but nothing serious or noticable. One cab was bought new from GAK this year, the other was bought this year as a used but not abused cab. The rig is nice and easy to handle because of the separate cabs. You are more than welcome to come and try it out. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. I am selling because I have went a bit more lightweight and recently bought an Ampeg PF500 and a Genz Benz Focus 4x10.
