1.
£350 for a UK made valve amp, blooming bargain.
Totally agree...... £350 is a bargain for such a great amp. Have bump from a fellow LB lover.
2. sold....................
3. This has to go..................under half price and in MINT condition with upgraded valves.
4. Weekend price drop to £279 COLLECTED.
5. Is this still for sale??????
6. I have been so so so impressed with the Smith sound from my Burner 6 I have just ordered a USA BT6. So as a result I really cant justify keeping the Burner. I found it so easy going from a 5 string to the Burner 6 because of the 16mm string spacing. I will sell it for £900 or Trade for an Acoustic Bass, or P Bass . I will put some pics up later or you can view it in the PORN section.... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=106962 It has some damage to the rear of the upper horn. Looks like some clear varnish has been used to seal the wood. Apart from this it is in amazing condition for its age. It comes with a Smith hard case that is quite worn and a fresh set of Smith strings taken off my new BT6. Thanks guys and girls.
7. Hi Duncan.. Would you post....? Wish you had it up for sale when I took the CLX110's off you. Marc
8.
Has this got a line in? doesn't look as if it has...... if it has I could be tempted
It does not have a dedicated line in as such........... I have rehearsed with the bass going into one input and an iPod going into the other and it sounded great. Ideal for learning or playing along to your fav. tracks. You can then control the volume of the music from the iPod and balance it perfectly with the bass.
9. Welcome BlueHelmet to the worlds greatest bass forum. Enjoy.
10. Where in Dorset are you?
11. Isn't that great......................I want one.
12. Sorry to hear about your trouble with posting the Spector. I had the same problem with a Fender P bass that I sent by courier, it has was damaged in transit and the courier tried to say I posted that way???? It took 6 months of me being out of pocket because I refunded the buyer. Even if you do have insurance on the bass it could take 6 months to settle a claim. I learnt my lesson........no more posting basses out. Did you have insurance ??? If so, put in a claim ASAP.
13. A few pics to drool over ........
14. I have really been impressed with the Smith sound and build quality since picking up the Burner 6. So much so that I'm going to buy a full on USA 6 string as in my WANTED thread. The only problem with buying a Smith is trying to find a Smith for sale........They are so rare that my search has ground to a halt. The only way to get a Smith at this moment is to import one from the US and take a large hit from the custom duties and VAT. I would really recommend the Burner range if you want to dip your toe into the Smith sound as they give around 80% of the sound for a lot less money. Its good to see we have a Burner following.
15. Looks like a great addition to the little Bastard range. I love the sound of mine. Vintage warmth at its best.
16. Oh F**k. I only had a few hours away from my computer and the bloody thing is sold.... Anyone else have a 6 string KS for sale?????????? To the person who bought it................ If you dont like it or want to sell it on PLEASE contact me.

18. I've got gas for a new bass so this little beauty is now reduced for a quick sale.. I will not post out this bass because of the hassles mentioned above. BUT, if you want to send me a hard case or I can buy one locally and you can arrange collection that would be fine.
19.
bump and a price drop Price: 2000 pounds / 2250 Euro will be withdrawn at the end of the week, cause i`m going to holidays...
Are you coming to the UK with the KS ???

24.
Nice catch! Looks a beast of a bass. I like that bit of sculpting on the rear neck/head join. Any chance of a full-length shot - just to get things in perspective? (I know -- I'm weird that way )
Not such a good picture as the others but it give you an idea of the basic shape.
25.
Excellent. Is this the one that was on eBay. I was also very tempted, but out off by the awful photo's (if it isn't the one, then there was one in the same finish up recently). With your photographs it looks fantastic!
It is the very same one. I had a real shock when I went to see it. The bass looked as if it had been put in its case 10 years ago. It was filthy, I have never seen a finger board so dirty. The strings were so old that two snapped when I started to play it. So I stripped it down, gave it a clean and put it all together again. What surprised me the most was the electronics, they are nearly 20 years old and the pots work as if the bass was new. Not a crackle from them, just smooth and tight. This is a real sign of quality. I have had high end basses that within six months started to crackle every time a pot was turned. The neck is smooth and the body shows very little wear. The only 'issue' is the ding at the back of the upper horn. Looks as if it was damaged a very long time ago and it was repaired by sealing the exposed wood with a little varnish, apart from this it could pass for a very lightly used bass. The string spacing is tight at 16mm, it takes a little time to get the fingering right but when you adjust it feels good.
