1. I love the colour combination.
 2.
I'm also after 5-stringer, but, when I took Ibazzy, I didn't think about slap very much.. And, now, damnit, I got problems with it - 5th string is not that serious problem, but, fret spacing 16.4mm, if I'm right, and neck pickup is not that far from fretboard ( as I've noticed only Now ) - as I'm using two fingers to pop the strings, keeping thumb and two fingers right in position becomes a Thing. I like slap sound very much, but, all in all, it looks to me that my Ibazzy's for everything, but except slap I know, it's all in work, and I'm working, though, how do you guys struggle with 16.4mm spacing if you even struggle?
I had a serious look into an SR1005 Prestige and had it at home for a while and just couldn't slap on it. My Lakland 55-02 (19mm) is perfect for slapping, no problems and is just as fast for me as the 44-02 but the DJ is much faster to play than either (or that's the way it feels to me anyway) The 55-02 is great for long grooves in F - it's the ability to play in position more comfortably that I like about the 5 string.
 3. Fingers crossed.
 4. Only about twenty for me last year which was the fewest in many years.
 5. Not the best photos but you get the idea?
 6.
if you want my honest opinion, i don't like either much. it could just be the strings, i don't know... sorry.
You stick to the chromed ones. Nice looking and practical for shaving too!
 7.
Although recently I hear that he's made up with Fender and they are doing a MK sig model.
Ooh, how fantastic, a signature Stratocaster, what a novelty. I played a Schecter Telecaster guitar like Pete Townshend's and it was fantastic. I believe that Pete Townshend played Schecter guitars in the Eighties for much the same reason that MK did. That MM/S CAR bass in the bottom pic looks great and is a nice take on the Stingray/Sterling model, in fact I think I'll go and let my chums on the EBMM forum know about it, I'm sure they'll be ecstatic.
 8. Welcome to the board!
 9. Nice looking gear.

 22.
but for me the 'soul' has gone.
I whole heartedly agree.
I personally don't find this forum half as friendly as it was back in the bassworld days.
+1
I agree with Greeneking, this place has lost some of it's soul. As for heavy moderation, I feel it would be a shame if it became necessary but there have been times recently, when I have felt it to be warranted. Healthy discussion yes, vitriol for the sake of getting a reaction no.
I think that sometimes the moderation is uneven. If you compare the "I Hate Jazz" thread with the "I Hate Jamiroquai" thread a very different tack was taken by the mods. In the first one the obvious trolling was tolerated and I felt that the negative and incendiary tone taken was almost supported by the mods whereas with the latter Machines took a different approach and rightfully, I think, alerted everyone to the fact that this was in fact trolling. I think that this approach works in knocking the wind out of the sails of the antagonists. One answer, I suppose is, ignore it and move on but we never used to have it; it's something that seems to have crept in over the last couple of months. I don't post as much as I used to but as I've met some great people and even made some good friends and one really special one through here, I'll be sticking around for quite a while to come. This is a horribly stressful time of the year for some of us and we should be getting away from all the crap when we log in here not spreading it around. Happy Hannukah or Merry Christmas to all.
