I've got a super synth and think its the mutts nuts, but as I'm looking around for power modules for my pedal board I've discovered none have enough to supply MB pedals. Salute Marco!

Yeah am definitely after a filthy/evil synth sound, but want to put together some un-usual sounds too- been in touch with the fuzzyroucious guy a few times, gonna have to put in a order at some point. As for the SA BEF, bought it in the US and didn't but the hot hand as the store didn't have one to try out. Do you use it? Any good?

Oh yeah, also have an MXR blowtorch which I haven't added yet!

It's still work in progress, but Markbass super synth > Dod envelope filter -might sell this > Boss auto wah - considering selling this too > EH Bassballs > MXR phase 100 > 80 Jap Ibanez Chorus > EH Holier Grail plus. I've got a source audio bass envelope filter too, but haven't added it in yet... Think I either need to get some more pedals (man pedals are so expensive, I dunno how the moog lovers do it) or think more wisely about how to use them

Cheers, I'm getting the general consensus is tuner, then synth/octaver/evelope then distorsion. I'm up for trying different combinations, but just wanted to find a good starting point. Thanks!

Ha! Thanks guys. Know what you lot are saying. I've got a load of good pedals that I never really used because they were always in a bag and out of the way. I've also been lucky enough to have some really great basses that 'did it' without effects, but the time (and band) has come where it's time to use em. Trust me I've put off doing this for a loooong time.

Hi Am just about to start putting together my pedal board and wanted to find out about what kind of signal chain I should try. I'm sure this had been asked before so even if you post up a link to the thread that'd be cool. I play passive basses btw.... Thanks!

Lent my amp to the headliners last night. The venue had a reggae night the night before and their jucy G&K head (maybe the PA!) suffered for it. I was a bit apprehensive but then met the guy who was gonna use it. A really sound reggae player who'd been around the block more than a few times and had come out from retirement to play with this band, so respect where respect is due..... I think it's down to who's gonna be using it, I knew that guy wasn't gonna caine it, but I don't think I'd be happy if it was some Motörhead tribute band. Now that I can afford an amp I'd go with bring your own bloody gear, but you never know when you might need a favour and the days when I couldn't afford an amp wasn't too long ago. Besides the MU's free £2000 insurance gives me sets my mind at ease. Has anyone ever had to use it?
