1.
Don't do it, man! That MB cab is really terrible. Buy my StreamMax 12.2h instead. It has point one more! "We're not being coy when we say ours go to 12.2 ..." BTW, PM only. 7 quid is really a lot when selling a £2,000 amp. Greedy besterds. best, bert
Ha! Nice one bert, thanks, but I've got a cmd 121h I'm lookin to pair it with.
 2. I was wondering if anyone had a markbass 121h traveler they might be selling?
 3. To go back to the OP Think it'd be great to have something like that again. I know with youtube it's easy to get instructional vids of hero's and virtuoso's alike. But as a way to get kids actually picking up instruments at a young age instead of being chained to makin musak on laptops and computers (which is totaly valid and has its place), I think it'd be great to have something like Rockschool to get kids thinking about different kinds of music available to them. Sorry just broke my soapbox, I'll be back in a min..
 4.
Geoff Nichols ?
Yep. Never met him though, heard he's extremely funny.
 5. I love these vids, they're brilliant. I love how they explain in a quintessentially polite British way how the music works (almost in the spirit of the voice at the beginning of Stanley Clarkes "We Supply").......then break out in that wicked funk jam, puts a smile on my face every time, all great players. I stumbled across the episode where they're all dressed up extreme 80's the other day-well funny, check Henry's pants. 1st time I saw the funk vid I told a good friend of mine about this thing I'd seen.......only to discover the drummer was his GF's dad! Ha ha!
 6. (Except the Norweigin soldiers, Happy bunch!! Ha!)
 7. America's most openly racially mixed band playing a raw set to hundreds of Europe's most liberal....what's not to like??
 8. Errrr....not sure if he's changed his mind. Still waiting for a reply...

 10. Jah Bless Telebass........Jah Bless... But seriously, what Tele is saying is pretty sound advice.
 11.
Ah, but there's the problem. Define 'competent' and how you can prove you qualify.
Well a competent person would be someone who has read and understood one of these http://electrical.th...tion-4th-ed.cfm Thats why I suggested people have ALL their gear fully checked at least once every 5 years, and then carry out user checks/visual inspections more regularly. You don't need to have completed PAT training to carry out these checks.
 12. Here's some free advice Have it all PAT tested with a machine once. This will cover you for up to 5 years.......BUT Visually inspect your gear regularly If a plug is broken, replace it PROPERLY. Don't leave a load of bare wires outside the terminals. If you don't know how to wire a plug, don't be daft and have ago without checking, just look it up or get someone who does know FFS. If you see insulation showing or if there is any damage on a cable, shorten the cable pass the point where it's damaged OR replace it. Fuse ratings are: Anything under 700 watts is a 3 or a 5 amp, anything over is 13. All extensions must have a 13amp fuse. 97% of all failures during PAT testing are found on a visual inspection. It's a lot to do with common sense, if you're going to use something regularly in an environment where it may get damaged, yanked, have stuff spilled on it. check it for any damage before the gig. If something isn't how it should be-get it fixed or replace it. Some of you may or may not know this but...you don't even need to be an electrician to carry out PATs........just competent.
 13.
and the piece of epuipment is less than 12 months old you dont need a cert at all.
.....word..
 14.
Yes... a few times. Depending how many plugs you have, it is cheap enough per year Money for old rope for sparkies..... who will admit that very thing,..
+1..........Generally a bit of a con, but one upheld by the HSE...
 15.
If you like a cab to put out exactly what you put in, kind of full range pa style, then you'd love one matey!
.......Nice, hope to get to hear one soon!
