1. If you choose the band name "If we survive" you can have a facebook page and twitter page with loads of followers already?
 2.
and you read it here first, ladies and gentlemen!
Me and my friend have like the SBK page. I liked it twice, because i have a facebook page You should be really proud though, i genuinely really really liked the songs! Can't wait to hear more, or catch a live show!
 3.
Er, OK... why?
I dunno. Filling the stereotype i suppose? Nevermind, nevermind.
 4.

We'll do your kneecaps in!
 5.
Thank you and... NI sounds as good a place as any other to start the SBK world domination tour Our calendar is still reasonably free around that date
Great! SBK- The world domination tour- Today; Ballymena. Tomorrow; THE WORLD!
 6.
You know what? It was supposed to be a silly melody once during a practice... but one of the guys said "oh! oh! oh! play that again!" and... they incorporated it into a new song. Lesson: only play it if you mean it! I utterly dislike that song. I hate it. We have much better than that and this one was chosen to be recorded...
Hey, don't beat yourself up, music can be silly if you want it to be. After all, it is just expression of emotion, and you were obviously feeling silly These songs bloody rock man! If you want to be touring through NI (or ballymena) around, oh, i dunno, january 5th 2014, i can for sure get you a gig
 7.

Listening to your songs... On the one with the envelope filter at the start. I laughed That intro bit is just brilliant, but a bit funny.
 8. HELLO! A fellow NI man, maybe our paths have crossed before? Anyway, welcome
 9.
wow, a bass that's part bongo and part accordion!
You could totally play it while selling Big Issues
 10.
Yes Do it already!
Ah, well now, i will, but see, i need to get a new neck, and get black parts for this bass. Could be a while before i actually get this one done, because of the other build i have planned! I was told recently that i should be a bass/guitar tech... I said that would be fine, if everyone wants their pickups wired wrong
 11.
There is a time and a place for it I agree
yes
 12.
Black is the new black, do it! I have tried the series combo in my Jazz. It's a pretty fat tone that one. I find it more useable than the usual parallel configuration, but the output is noticeably higher, so that might be a problem. Or not.
Not a problem, my pickups aren't very hot at all. So they won't be out of phase?
 13.
oh right, I think I can see that thanks, but I always thought the idea of the kick drum was to fill out the really low frequencies, but I suppose they're using the bass for that which is why there's no definition, this is where I came in me thinks. But at least I understand the clicking kick drum now, still seems bloody stupid though, but that's fashion for you, looking back everybody thinks "who thought that was a good idea" anybody remember the really loud snares in the 80's? went to a gig the other night and could hardly hear the snare for the tinny bass drum
Just listening to Blood Sugar Sex Magik and everything sounds like it should to me. Low bass drum to accentuate the accents of the bass guitar.
 14.
The point is to make room for bass, and use the power of the transient coupled with it's short duration to allow drummers to play more complex kick drum parts that don't lose intelligibility in a busy mix...
Oh right. That doesn't bother me. I don't really want to play with a drummer that wants to over-complicate the bass drum.
 15.
I've never seen a bass with that pickup config before... Sounds really interesting! Closest thing I can think of would the the Fender Urge basses I suppose.
Lot's of people have said this. It just means you could do musicman stuff on your jazz, and give it that more middy fatness.
 16. Also just thought- it should be string-through! This is going to cost alot more than i want it too
 17. HANG ON! that series/parallel switch, will that work without the polarity of one of the pickups being reversed?
 18.
precisley, but I'm hearing it more and more, seems bloody stupid to me, I think Metallica started it with Justice for All, could be wrong though
But what exactly is the point of it? To get a more tinny sound? That's just stupid.
 19.
the modern fashion for having the bass drum with loads of treble dialed in.
What's the point in that? It's the bass drum. BASS- A range of low frequencies.
 20.
Not that I know of, using the volume knob is so simple I doubt there's much demand for it. I assume the idea of the afterburner is to replace an OD pedal, making your setup simpler, reducing cost, and transferring more control to the guitar, an auto-fade in thing would be adding cost and gear to do something you can already do easily on the guitar.
This is very true, but i'm not very adept at using any features on my bass/guitar whilst playing, that includes volume knobs and whammy bars. I just thought it would be a handy thing to have if i ever wanted a slow attack sound, maybe with treble rolled off to sound more like a fretless, then i wouldn't have to worry about rolling the volume knob back and forth while playing.
 21. What's the word on the build now, Paul?
 22. Are the pickups active? you never said in the ad...
 23.
There's a Slow Gear 'pedal' on the Zoom B3
Yup, i have it. but i found all the effects worked better on guitar.
 24. Something i thought of the other day, just wondering if something like this exists. So you know the pedal that boss made, i think it was called slow gear. It basically senses the attack of the strings and fades in accordingly, which is nothing you couldn't do with a volume pedal/knob, i know, but it takes the hassle out of it. Then, i thought about that little onboard overdrive system, i believe it was called the afterburner, possibly made by EMG. It's basically a button that you press on your guitar that i suppose gives the guitar more output and drives the amp more. So i was wondering if anything existed that brought the 2 together? Has somebody made a button that you can install on your guitar that will fade in your notes when you are playing something atmospheric? I realise it's more of a guitarist thing, but knowing stuff is more of a bassist thing
 25.
Your education begins
I have actually watched quite a few episode of Dad's Army, but never that one. Funny though. I must get a watch of that episode at some point!
