1. Nice! Could you explain your mods on the electronics? Thanks!
2. T
I had the SMA Natas board with the panther on it, I was obsessed with both the song and the video when I was around 14. Wish I still had that board, I broke it in half and never found another I liked quite as much. So much good music from late 80s / early 90s alternative culture both here and the USA.
No doubt! The funny thing is that I rode BMX/freestyle, but was tottally addicted to these Santa Cruz videos and their soundtrack!
3. To me , it was "What so strange about me" - To this day this intro/song brings me back good memories! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK3WPeg3WxU
4. Mike Watt on the bass! The Chili Peppers dedicated their 1991 album to him!
5. While making some time on Youtueb, just saw some classic Natas footage. At 15.30 that song made me want to play bass! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccf0ENQBee0 What a great bassline -- ahhhh the 80's
6. If this bass is like the one my friend has - (Made in Korea) - it's one hell of a bass!!!
7.
I wouldn't recommend this. If you want further reasons why look at my thread here for a recent repair quote from Warwick. http://basschat.co.u..._warwick__st__0 I have had a Warwick with a twisted neck fixed by Noiseworks in Coventry and that one in the thread above fixed by Martin Sims at Sims LED's so this may be of help for any potential buyers. They both were quite cheap too. GLWTS
Hello, Thank you so much for the warning To be honest, I would only consider warwick as a last resort solution! But thankfully, I´m sure my luthier's can hadle itr pretty well (one even is on the road right now with Steve Sarris, so I guess I'm in good hands ) Back to Warwick, I don't think they do good basses anymore... It's all about profit, profit, profit, hence those stupid prices they gave you.... Thanks once again!
8.
Yep, definetly more pics about the neck! Did you try to ask Warwick directly about repair? I would be interested in if this issue gone.
The Luthiers I work with are more than capable of giving me their opinion about the base - hopefully I'll be able to get more info and pics during this week! As to send it to Warwick in Germany - it may be possible, but I have to talk to the Portuguese distributor first (that would be my last option due to the time involved -. it may take months...) I'll be in touch! Thanks for your interest
9.
Another Dolphin for sale, don't see this too often! You may need the elaborate on the neck situation as what you have described is a twisted neck, which a fret dress would not resolve! Photographs of the neck showing the situation would be useful I am sure. Has it had pro attention?
Hello Kev, You´re completelly right, but for the moment that's the only pic I have. I want to take it to my luthier, but's he's currently on tour with Iron Maiden/Anthrax... It's such a cool bass, and as you said, you don't see them often it's a shame about the neck situation though. There's another luthier working at the place I normally go to - hopefully he'll be able to give me more details about it, Cheers from Portugal!
10. Hello, I have this Warwick Dolphin Pro I laying around that I don't use - It wasn't my intention to sell it, but maybe there's someone outhere who might be interested in it. Probably one of the few Dolphin that hasn't dolphins on the scale! Withdrawn
11.
sorry, sold and sent out in the post today. think I was a bit low on the asking price, never had so many messages!
No problemo
12. Hello, I need to start a major mechanical task on one fo my restoration projects, so I´m getting rid of everything I don't use/play anymore, as I need all the money I can get for parts and labour. I'm selling my 1988/1989 Chapman Stick Polycarbonate 10 string with passive Stickup pickup, original case, strap and some brochures from 1994. Serial # 2718 I´ve had the Stick since the late 90's - I'm the second owner. The first owner was a famous musician called Vitor Rua - He used it in his own band called "Telectu" - an avantgarde/experimental band, Here are some clips (but none feature the Chapman - guess 10 strings weren't enough ) https://www.youtube....h?v=Ei4fFZp4eK0 - on 2.57 you can see the Chapman Stick stiking out (no pun intended) in the back. https://www.youtube....h?v=yxLRUyNmujA I bought it because of Tony Levin, but hardly used it. The Stick is in good shape - The case is original, it has seen some wear, but it will go with new foam, as the old one deteriorated with time. I've showed it to Rodrigo Serrão http://amusicaportug...n-stick-2395568 - this past Sunday (20/03/2016) - a really knowlegeable person when it comes to Chapman Stick - so he could confirm its good condition and playability! No problems with the frets either - everything is the way its supposed to be! The only issue being the felt damper that probably needs to be changed. It will also need a set of new strings. Thanks! Best regards from Portugal! Alex I'm asking 1000 pounds (shipping included) The Stick will be very well packed inside a proper cardboard box with bubble wrap, and other materials used for shipping instruments - It will be shipped with tracking number and insured against loss. I accept Paypal or Bank Transfer (preferred) Please check my feedback! http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2010849 Thanks ! Cheers from Portugal
