Ill throw into the mix that I already have a 610 😈 so trading down at this point seems unlikely. As stupid as it sounds I think the 810 would be easier to manoeuvre with the built in handle and wheels!

Hey guys, I'm new to doing pub gigs and I'm hoping my band will be up and running soon so have a question, is an 810 cab to big for pub gig?? I'm looking to trade up to an all ampeg setup but wondering if it will be overkill. At the end of the day it has te same footprint as a 410....

If I am honest, and I don't know if this applies to everyone but if money was no object I think I could have got my dream tone straight away! The trouble is most of us have to compromise for one reason or another, and then try and tweak as circumstances allow. I know exactly how you feel, I am "happy" with my tone right now but am trying to "tweak" it 😈

I do like my tb1000, I can't fault it's performance. For me it has not had quite the right tone, but having said that, it's my first REAL amp. Lookimg to trade for an all ampeg rig, Iay regret it but that is the dream rig so have to walk the path.

I remember them being relatively affordable back in Australia too. My mate had three of them stuffed in a cupboard that had various things Wrong with them. If memory serves at least one of them was a green one....

Tried it rehearsal last night and it seems to be back working again now, think ill get some contact cleaner and spray the pots as they are Pretty crackly. Has anyone put a dc power supply socket on one of these? Is it easy to do?

Yeah I'd agree on the build quality, it's pretty ordinary. It's such a shame as most of the electronics are Ex soviet military grade from what I understand and they do sound amazing. Just had a quick look, the solder looks ok at first glance. Ill try it again at rehearsal tonight and see if I can isolate the problem

Having trouble with my big muff at the minute, I'm not getting any output, then if I press Down on the volume knob it intermittently works. Has anyone else had this? Is it just a dry solder joint?
