1.
Hi guys, my wife and I are expecting our first child in July so I'm thinking of selling my nicest bass to raise some cash. It's an '89 USA made G&L L2500 5 string, and an absolute beauty. Here's a link to the original owner's for sale post: linky I'm in for a grand, and that's what I'd like back. Any interest?
The other post says its a '98? Nice looking bass btw
 2.
I'm keeping level about it, but there's only so many offers that amount add up to £600 (if I'm being massively generous with my valuation of the trading objects) that I can take. I've spent £1,000 on this, if it sells for £750, I'm losing £250. I can deal with that, it's only money. It's taking the piss though when people expect serious amounts knocked off that. People trying to justify it with "well here's a 4 string version that sold on ebay recently for £650, so I want it cheaper than that" (yes, I've actually had messages like that) is rubbish and as much as I want to uphold the community spirit, there's limits. Not replying to peoples' messages is just rude. That's the biggest issue I've had with the guy who sold this to me in the state that has cost me so much in the first place. If I haven't had to fork out for repairs or if he'd reimbursed me the money we'd agreed on, I wouldn't mind lowering the price a bit more. The whole fiasco's been a joke though and the stress it's caused me is one of the reasons I'm not at all hesitant to sell this bass. I wasn't expecting so much hassle again when I was trying to see the back of it though.
To be honest you'd have a much better chance of getting decent money from it somewhere other than basschat. Whilst Warwicks are famed for their bad re-sale value, for some reason it seems to be much exaggerated here. I'd imagine you'd get a lot closer to what you are asking if you flogged it elsewhere. Just my personal experience of selling Warwicks of course, YMMV Good luck with selling it!

 4. Don't know if this has been posted before but I thought everyone might like this: http://vimeo.com/4041788 Due to the shutter speed of the camera I believe. I seem to remember you can get similar effects when filming propellors
 5.
2006 John Entwistle / Hotwire-bass Funderbird inspired FenderBird Bass. Parts assembled / custom built bass - handmade/finished/stressed body, MightyMite neck, Hipshot B bridge, Schaller tuners and genuine Rickenbacker 4000 series pick-ups (under the maple covers). The parts used on bass alone cost over £400 back then ! Another bass I've hardly touched recently - should go to a better home !!! £275 Not got a shipping case for this - would prefer collection or can meet. Contact me for any more info / pics etc.
Worth the money just for the upgrades! Cracking price
 6.
Would you be interested in a trade for a Yamaha TRB5II? I don't have access to my photos right now, but I can link to an ad I placed elsewhere: http://link.marktplaats.nl/408035023 Some minor damage to the body (one paint chip, and a few tiny dents around the controls, visible in the pics). The neck is flawless.
Ack! Sorry, only just seen this! Afraid I'd probably be looking for a cheaper 5 string, that loojks like a really nice bass though! I've heard good things about Yamahas but am yet to try one.... I've just restrung the Streamer BEAD so I'm not even sure I need a 5er now. Would much prefer a cash sale but still open to offers. Will probs put it on Arni's site soon.
 7.

Just a quick post-new years bump for this. I'm willing to listen to trades for a 5-string of a lower value plus cash
 8.
Loud comes from the cabs you use, not the number of watts.
This x 1000 Took me ages to realise it.
 9.
Can't you just reverse the order of the adjustable pieces by removing them with a screwdriver?
Oh there's a point... never occured to me, that should work! Thanks
 10. Here are a few more photos guys, as requested:
Interested in the Warwick. Any more pics? Also, I string upside down, can nut be reversed?
This bass has the brass Just-a-Nut 1. As such, it could probably be reversed but it would have to be removed and reattached. It probably wouldn't be a massive job but you wouldn't be able to just flip it round as with the JAN 2. You'd probably need to switch all the saddles on the bridge over too but that looks to me like you could acomplish it with a screwdriver.
 11. Haha, I did wonder why no-one flagged it up on here... Think everyone was trying to snaffle it themselves
 12.
Damn you! That's tempting! Edit: Damn you even more! You were the one that outbid me on that '87 Streamer Stage 1 a week ago?
I was indeed Sorry about that... It's seriously fantastic though, hence why I no longer need the thumb Forgot to add, would still be interested in 5 string trades! Prefferably thumb or another Warwick, but hit me with offers
 13. Very nice! Like the look of these basses, but didn't realise they did them in lefty... Best it sounds great with that ACG in! Good to see another lefty player around here too
 14. Hey guys, due to a recent acquisition, I'm considering selling my Warwick Thumb. 4 string bolt on, from 1999 so still has the brass just-a-nut and full wenge neck with ovangkol body. Would be wanting what I paid, £600 plus P+P firm.
 15.
Still available? if so, what's the condition? Thanks.
PM'd, no real dings, but a few surface scratches but none of them down to the wood. Electrics and hardware are fine.
 16.
Hi Josh, I've got a BO 5 string and have toyed with the idea of letting it go for sometime. Its in absolute A1 condition and comes with a custom pelican case (so indestructable). Trouble is that I'm just finalising my learnlist for the next year and there may (finally) be a couple of 5 string songs on there. Are you looking urgently, or shall I just keep this in mind for once I know whether she'll get a runout this year?
Hey man, nah it's not urgent, I'm quite happy with a 4 string version for the time being let me know when you've had a think!
 17.
now thats awesome! bet it sucks trying to flip that over though!
Does anyone have video of one of these or similar actually getting the top flipped over? For some odd reason I want to see what it looks like...
 18.
Just put my Lefty Jazz Deluxe up for sale but accidently posted in the Bass Guitars for sale section instead of here..... Hi All, I've decided to move on my Jazz Deluxe 4 string due to an incoming Shuker J5. Also I'm rarely playing 4 string at the moment so this is not seeing much action. Comes with original Fender case and tools. I had a black pick-guard made as I liked the idea of an all black jazz but it does come with original gold as well. The bass is in very good condition with only some very minor surface marks on body, no dents. Looking for £750.00. The only trade I would consider is a Musicman Sterling with maple board as I miss my old one, although let me know what you have in case something appeals. Click on the link for details (exactly the same colour and spec as mine) and will upload pictures as soon as I can. JAZZ DELUXE
Incidentally, I coooould be wrong, but I think your old Sterling is up on leftybass.com atm. I know I owned it at one point, I can't quite remember if I bought it off you though... It's all very incestuous the lefty bass market!
 19. Hey hey everyone- thanks for the interest, but I think I've sorted out a sale now pending the usual. Thanks guys!
 20. I'm assuming you're way down south or something?
 21. Would love to but I really don't think I'd trust this to a courier, sorry
 22. buuuump and price drop, want it gone now
