1.
Sorry, but if I've tuned up to the tuner I don't change and put it out of tune for anyone for any reason! If the guitarist is out of tune then they fix it!!
I agree entirely - I just can't be bothered with the argument to be honest - possibly a topic for another thread "I'm treated like crap by my band - get me out of here!" on topic: I also use my laptop as well via a StealthPlug, get the same results as the tuner, although the detail is greater.
 2.
Direct Link I've just spent the last hour or so browsing... I'm glad i know the Firefox Page Info trick to get the pics. I really like these designs, nevere heard of cafe press before, i do believe that this sight may be getting a fair bit of my custom
If you sign up you can upload your own photos/images and sell them, I think they take a cut. I was going to get some ladies thongs made with the band name on. It's a lot simpler than getting a load or your own merch done. Thing is though, it's all in the states I think so not sure what the delivery is like.
 3. I'm trying to learn Peppa Pig. I have an old crappy guitar that my daughter uses, she just messes with, sometimes we'll get the pans out in the kitchen and "jam", she loves it, just about making noise really at this stage. She's three so it's still very much bash bash bash at the moment. EDIT to make sense!
 4. This really gets my goat, I have a tuner, really really handy, always tune up using it. During "band practise", I'll tune up then our Guitarist and Vocalist will be like, "OK Moody, now tune to the guitar" - which of course she's tuned up by ear. Even though I can't tune up by ear - you can tell its well out. Once, after doing this I checked it again and I reckon I was in F or something ridculous. I just get on with it for a quite life. f-ing tools honestly.
 5. Just been reading through this and it's very interesting. I'd be really interested on how you get on with it, looks very tidy from the photo. The Markbass website says you can add another 102 Cab on the bottom on it. Wow! I may abandon me saving for an Orange and punt for something similar to this instead...
 6. Even if you don't buy owt, there is some quality Avatar material on there!
 7. I've never been to this before and don't know a lot about it - is it worth going if all I'm bothered about is Bass? (Or is the clue in the name?)
 8. Moody

 12.
I'm much less of a tw*t in person - will there be anyone there who i've pissed off? And how likely are you to administer a beating?
Dude.... This is nottingham matey, we don't waste time with beatings, we'll just pop a cap in your ass with our shooters ;-) This is getting huge!

 14.
Is that Fender Rumble a lefty too?
LOL!!! Yeah, I think the polarity is different and unless you use a left-handed cable on it it send 240 volts up your arm ;-) It's got a neon tube like a kiddys Vauxhall Nova on it. I'm thinking of having some dump valves fitted on it!!!
 15.
We need more rightys!!
...and I thought I would never hear that one!!! It's a revolution, I reckon I had mewsie almost convinced on Sunday!
 16.
Moody bring your jazz if you can
Will do, only If I can play with your sixer!!! Two leftys!!! We'll have lefty corner!! So I will have: Left Fender Jazz Bass Fender Rumble 25w practise amp (encourage anyone who is looking for a 25w practise amp to try this out!) Lefty Acoustic Bass if I buy it in time Probably some pedals as well after seeing one in Northampton...
 17.
Do we know about timings at all yet?
Updated main post, I reckon 12. It opens at eleven and we have the room booked all day until closing. There is parking but it's not massive. There is a car park just around the corner I think.
 18. See new thread - you might be in luck - the 4th had gone when I got to it and it's also Bank Holiday weekend so I've punted for the week after!
 19. The Grovesnor Pub - 11th May 2008. Decided it might be an idea to miss the bank holiday weekend. The Grovesnor pub is in Sherwood, on Mansfield Road (A60). Kick off at 12:00 Full Address is: 291-293 Mansfield Road Nottingham, NG5 2BY It has been recently closed for a massive refurb and looks quite smart now. We'll be using the function room upstairs: The bar upstairs will not be open. However, there is a large selection of Beers, Wines, Spirits and Real Ale down stairs. There is a car park. If you're intending on staying over then the Park Inn is across the road: http://www.nottingham.parkinn.co.uk/ Standard room seems to be about £69. I think there are a few B&Bs in the area as well. We'll be needing donations etc, but I'll come up with something closer to the time. If anyone fancies a bit of a crawl around the pubs of the city afterwards....
 20.
I will go with whatever you decide. I think as you are taking the time and trouble to sort this out you should get to choose where it is personally. Steve
I have no problem with that as long as everyone is happy, spoke to Mrs Moody about 10mins ago, she's had word with one of the music lecturers and they reckon the room would indeed have too much echo (she was a bass player btw), so I'm leaning towards the Grovesnor on the 4th.
 21. It is indeed, it'll be May 3rd then as the college is shut (if we use NCN at all) on a Sunday. I've enclosed a couple of pictures I took last night, I'm informed that the room will be tidy, a class had literally just walked out when I got there. There is an echo in the room, put plenty of power etc. I also popped into the Grovesnor (which is open btw and very nice!!) and took one of their function room. Grovesnor said they'd let us have the room all day for £50, they cannot do Sat 3rd May but we could do Sunday 4th. NCN would be £40, Mrs M is going to work on the times if need be. Or there was the other suggestion from Budget with regards to the pub in Hucknall. So: Grovesnor - has stairs but the room is good NCN - all on one floor but has the "echo"
 22. Good gag, liked that one! ;-) As a bit of a noob, I find: http://www.ibreathemusic.com/ http://www.behindthenotes.com/index.php quite useful But IMHO you can't bit a bit of MyYouSpaceTube Googling about!
 23.
Simple:- picking up a bass for the first time 3 years ago... I wish it'd been 33 years ago; you can't go back.
+1 to that definitely.
 24.
a fantastic rock bassist that plays today is Jared Followill from Kings of Leon, he is my biggest inspiration on the bass the way he incorporates licks with punchy root is awsome!...Honestly if you have listened to kings of leon before do it now, listen to Razz off the second album aha shake heartbreak, or joes head from their 1st youth and young manhood, or near enough any track off their new album because of the times.
+1 to this, personal favorite being "Kings Of The Rodeo" - perfect simplicity for me, although "On Call" and "Knocked Up" are very, very close seconds.
 25.
Cheers for the cable Moody .
No probs dude, I completely forgot tbh - I so want to try your little box of tricks out!
