  5. Hi S'manth - see if you can find the contact details for this guy. As I recall, he spent most of his life searching for a new head. 🤭
  6. I have two fretless basses. One has roundwounds for that 'electric' fretless sound you mention. The other has tape-wound Labella strings for a fatter, more DB sound. I'd suggest you try using a chorus if using roundwounds (chorus AND octaver can sound great.) your ebony board will show signs of wear, but find yourself a good local luthier -Martin at the Bass Gallery - and they'll be able to advise what needs done, and when. Good luck in your adventure(s).
  7. Cheers
  8. All of the above
  9. Welcome, from a murderously bad bassist. 😎
  10. I'm not feelin' too good myself.
  11. Well, that's my next rehearsal sorted. 🤣
  12. Wishing You Were Here - Slade
  13. Song of the Wind - Santana
  14. Forgot to add sound link.
  15. Evening Young Francis. I'm really on the beat here, answering your post almost three years late. Did you ever sort your dilemma out? If not, I can't recommend the Kala California basses enough: light, piezo and very short scale.
  16. Tremendous story. Exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for when I started this thread. The stories from people are inspiring. Thanks for your contribution
  17. You are always a more-than-positive person on BC. Long may your journey continue. My guess is that someone of your attitude in a band, would be a Godsend. Best. Snorkie.
  18. Very. 🤭
  19. Not drowning, but squealing. Best to you and the Unicorns my man.
  20. Go Nilo! Still howling I note. 👀👍
  21. Excellent. Give it welly - the more you put in, the more you'll get out (that's the theory anyway!)
  22. Good for you Cliff. Long may your enjoyment continue. Search for your mates on-line. It can be fairly easy to find them once one is in the bag. Good luck.
  23. Sounds very familiar. 👍
  24. Good luck tonight. You'll nail it. Remember to let us all know how it went (with accompanying photos).
