hi guys, i am getting a five string bass and i am unsure what strings to put on it. i normally use roto swingbass on my fours but i have recently moved across to the Hartke strings, which i prefer the feel of, i understand they are nickel. Can anyone recommend me a reasonably price set of strings fo the fiver? Cheers, Barry

Hi, I have a used seymour duncan SPB-1 pickup which i swapped out of a schecter model t for a quarterpounder. it is as new, with no rust or pick marks to the case. i am looking for £35 via paypal with the buyer paying for paypal fees. will post pics if anyone wants. Cheers, Barry

i got my 700 on the bay for 200. neck through, absolutely beautiful bass, they come up now and again, well worth the wait. same gear as the 500 i think though....

Guys, After buying an SRX700, i feel that it is time to move the other basses on as i am so happy with this one. So i am looking to sell my ATK400 and my Schecter Model T. Both are 4 string and both are in very good condition, the Model T has never been gigged. The ATK is stock but i have recently put a QP Precision in the Model T. I would be looking for 300 for each plus courier but i am open to offers. I would be happier to have them collected or to meet within a certain distance rather than post as i am paranoid about them being damaged in the post. I can post up photos if there is any interest. please see photos of model t as requested, i am pointing at a small ding on the body in one of the photos but you cannot see it. also, please see photos of the ATK as requested, i have taken photos of the dings on it. there is one on the top horn and one on the underside. the truss rod cover has also been mislaid and i lost the cap for the selector switch. none of this changes the sound or playability of the bass though. any further questions, please feel free to ask away Cheers Barry

when you say set of quarterpounders do you mean a jazz set or a p-j set? cheers, barry

i recently bought an srx700 after coveting one for quite some time. i am very happy with it, very big output but it can also be tamed. the neck is taking some getting used to as my other bass is an ATK which is a lot thicker. i say go for it.

on the whole precision thing, i was in the studio last night test driving my new bass, Ibanez SRX700, & new pick ups in my schecter model t. i put QPs in the model t and i can say that i finally get the p bass sound.....

i understand that it is a 34" scale. the bass is an ibanez SRX705, i really like the 4 strings of these but they are currently like hen's teeth so i thought i could dip into the 5 string market. What do you mean by A# tuning, would that be just tuning everything down half a step, i.e. like my current 4 string tuning? the reason i would like the C# tuning is that the songs we play with that tuning has open strings on the C#.

hi, first of all apologies if this is in wrong section, mods please move if need be. i currently play a four string which i detune half a step to D#G#C#F# There is a couple of songs which we go down a further full step on the E to C# i have seen a 5 string bass which is really interesting me and i was wondering if C# D# G# C# F# was an acheivable tuning for a five or if it would cause problems to the bass? does anyone tune to this? is it achievable? look forward to your responses.
