hi, first of all apologies if this is in wrong section, mods please move if need be. i currently play a four string which i detune half a step to D#G#C#F# There is a couple of songs which we go down a further full step on the E to C# i have seen a 5 string bass which is really interesting me and i was wondering if C# D# G# C# F# was an acheivable tuning for a five or if it would cause problems to the bass? does anyone tune to this? is it achievable? look forward to your responses. Hi, I am interested in a bass from ebay but there is a small chunk out of the fretboard at the third fret. it is the ibanez SRX 700. it is on the edge of the fretboard and i would assume that it would not affect the guitars playability in any way. the only issue would be the fact that it is there which would probably annoy me enough to have the whole board replaced. can anyone recommend anyone in the glasgow to carry this out? i have had a look at the sticky but could only see ACG in Moffat representing Scotland. i look forward to your response. cheers, barry

carlos d of interpol is a solid bassist, i think his work on their first cd is really good. also whoever is playing bass at any given time in the shins always plays some nice lines

hi guys, this was a guitar that i really, really admired back when i bought my first bas, an ibanez GSR200. Back then i had no real experience of basses, i just really liked the way it looked, it was certainly different than everything in the shop at the time, with the neckthru body and all the woodtypes. it blew my mind!!! Currently, i have my main bass which is an ATK400 and i am very happy with this, i also have a schecter model t which is a waiting a pup upgrade to an SD QP precision pup as the SPB-1 just does not cut it for me. Two srx700s are now available on ebay and i am looking for someone to tell me what it is like to play and whether i would get anything out of it that may make it top of the pile?? convince me please guys to answer the gods of GAS and thus ensure a month of sleeping on the couch as i try to sneak it in the house... cheers, barry

Hi, we have recorded a cd of our tunes and have sold a healthy amount at gigs, etc. We are now looking to employ someone to distribute our music in digital form throughout the various digital stores, itunes, etc... Can anyone recommend a company which would be able to do this for us? We have been looking and are interested in using a company called ISA who are based in Glasgow and take a paymernt of £30 per cd and pay out 80% of the sales. ibanez atk400. i absolutely love this bass it is soooo gooood!!

hi everyone. my names barry and i live in glasgow. i am a late bloomer to the bass being 34 and only picking the bass up 3 years ago in order to form a band with my mates. i have the following gear: ibanez GSR200 ibanez ATK400 Schecter Model T Laney R3 amp Sansamp BDDI and a couple of other pedals. i reckon i play mostly rock and some punk stuff and thats about it....
