4. oh his one of my fav's!!! wonderful! smoooth as silk!!
 5. I think they could well be warwicks, sure they are bare, I used to use them an I remember they was pretty decent. I think DR strings, dunlops, cleartone and D'Addarios are bare but D's have coloured balls which you know, might not be all but its all I can come up with.
 6. Lol, awesome! Yes you clearly have issues, lol an now I have a hankering for free stuff! Lol
 7.
Well, you didn't count on running in to Milty then
Clearly! An I'm lost for words! Lol

 9.
OH DAMN! It's just my luck that i happened to be trying to change my profile picture to a silhouette of me. It definitely must have worked then, i just didn't realise. *tsk*
Lol, it's very becoming!
 10.
You can change your avatar pic; I changed mine a couple of days ago. What you have to do is first remove the existing pic entirely, then host your new pic elsewhere then copy and paste the link where appropriate. Even then it can take up to an hour to appear for some reason, but it is possible.
Yh I think thats what happened with me, I uploaded it from photobucket an it just took a while to show up, so before it did I changed it again, and so on, not giving it time to sort it, and around and around we went! lol
 11.
It's got nothing to do with what sort of computer you have, or what browser you are using. The site was hacked a couple of months ago and some of the things that were broken have still not been fixed. Uploading images is one of them, which by extension means that you can't upload a new profile photo. However the site supports the use of Gravatar hosted images for your profile pic, so that should sort you out.
ahh I see, yes I remember that happening as I was getting all strange stuff coming up from google saying the sites a war zone or something. It seems to of sorted its self but thanks very much for the info!
 12. ok for some reason its uploaded a pic all on its own now, awesome, lol. I knew i could do it even if i wasn't there or doing anything when it was done! all my best work is done that way! lol, elves ay! lol
 13.
Same problem. And my 'poota is one o dem der fruit machines too.
lol, I use my for e-mails, bass chat, facebook and music, thats it, im sure it got enuff power to run a space shuttle but its woefully under used in this household! lol
 14.
I see irony when looking at your thread title and your sig :-D
lol, yh, clearly there is when it comes to pics! lol. I knew that would come back and bite me in the ass one day! lol
 15. I tried a smaller pic, still no joy! i even tried reloading my original pic, no go, im so non tecy and it does drive me mad an make me laugh! more mad though, lol
 16. Hay, I hope someone can help? I deleted my profile pic to replace it now it won't? I've tried to upload a pic from my pooter but it just say 'can't upload photo' ? so i tried uploading from photobucket an it won't upload any copied links other than direct link and that comes upso big it takes the whole box up and you cant get to the save button bit? any help would be really great! thanks
 17. Nice, and deffo one of the early handmade ones, bet it sounds awesome! wish I had the cash!
 18.
I think any "classic" warwick will be a neck through - made in germany, probably before 1992-94 and depending how good the new ones are after whatever point they went up market again.
I love the old old warwicks, the old hand made thru necks were amazing, love the sound of the old ones, with loads of wenge in the neck, I waited for ages till I see one I liked and had the money for, got ot shipped in from the states and it sounded so bland!! but the old ones a deffo classic
 19.
Yeah- I stuck alembic on there and then took them off. Mainly because apart from music only bass players listen too I couldn't think of one Alembic player. I guess John Entwhistle?
Yh I only came up with John, Stanley Clarke and Mark King for a bit, considering their like 30 grand plus you would think they must be soooo amazing every one would have one, still I do like them, different look, well made an they have been going years!! and their copied a fair bit, so why not, lol, yh deffo the thumb, again been with us for a while, an they had in the early days they had that sound like no other.
 20. As the good advice above says, if it says it unfinished then its just darkened with time, sand it down with some 320, you only need to knock out the uv affected colour, then with a damp cloth dampen the neck, leave to dry and sand with 400, you should be ready to give it a gloss, hope it goes well! happy building
 21.
Luke's list of classics.... Fender Jazz Fender Precision Rickenbacker 4001 Stingray (2eq) Stingray 5 G&L L1000 Warwick Streamer Stage 1/Spector NS (controversially I would say warwick is the more "classic" version of Ned Steinberger's design, at least this side of the pond) Warwick Thumb NT 5 Gibson EB Gibson Thunderbird Hofner Violin Peavey T40 Beyond that there are the Wal/Steinberger/Jaydee 80's stuff, and some quite cool stuff from Gibson in the 70's but none of it would be classic I think.
sounds about right!! an yh I think Alembics an status could be banged in place of the streamer?
 22. Lmao!! class, try getting a gig bag for that!!

23. sound advice! no pun intended, lol
 24. is that a missing knob or a switch, yh the bridge is a delight! lol, im no electronics wiz by a long long way! but dont you need two single coils to stop the hum? you know at least a split one like a P bass? must sound as good as it looks! lol I cant imagine a player like Dave Pegg going yhhhh thats guna be my main bass from this day on! lol, course I have been know to be very wrong very often! lol
