Hi there! We have a band mate in common. I play in Hoaxx, Darren's 'bit on the side!' Small bass world 😁 -

The roller banners are convenient, but they only really look any good in bigger areas where you can have them clearly in view ( like in the tent and other pic here.) Even in bigger pubs we rarely have that much space. Still quite fancy the under the PA idea. I reckon if we could put a baton top and bottom that might keep them hanging straight and then just roll them up. Might have a play..😁 -
Hi Quite fancy some band bannerage, but rarely play venues with enough space to hang a back drop properly. I just had a thought, for pub type gigs, is there anything like a banner you could hang from the bottom of your PA cabs? Vertical hanging things to sort of frame the band and get the name shown without taking up valuable space for drunken punters? Cheers

Death to all but metal. 😉

My band have christened my new Dingwall ' The Purple Dildo' - I preferred 'Purple Vibrator ' but it evidently has to be dildo because it has a D on the headstock. Graphic sex toy pic below....

Thanks Cuzzie - that's very useful. I also like the Delanos- HiFi and loads of punch, but am fancying a change.

I got one from a mate for my daughters to use. It's very nice, a lot of fun to play actually. I was a bit concerned that the short scale would make for floppy strings, but it's fine. Enjoy!

Hi all I have a Mk1 Sandberg California active 5 string Jazz/MM. Love it. It has Delanos in it from stock, but I'm thinking about swapping them out for something with a bit more, something, maybe growl....🙄 Hearing that the Sandberg Black Labels are popular- anyone able to compare the two? Cheers

Hi all Just need to thin the herd a little and so am offering up my awesome Yamaha. We all know these, and they are as good as their rep suggests. Great gigging workhorse basses with lovely P and PJ tones on tap. There are a few very light marks from usual usage but nothing that detracts or is even obvious to the eye. I live in Essex and do travel a bit with work ( London, Canary Wharf, Cambridge, Norwich, Northampton all regular and all points in between) so could deliver. Can box up and post at cost too. Not really after trades. Any questions ask away. Cheers Jason

Keytars.. who owns one or has played one?
redbandit599 replied to uk_lefty's topic in General Discussion
Our singer uses a Roland Lucina Keytar now, he's a very good keys player and it is SO much better than his previous monster keyboard. The Lucina means he can move and engage and better. We all love it, we play covers ( varied rock and pop, lots of modern stuff) Frankly, I think all the 'uncool keyboards ' attitude is rather outdated. If it sounds good and does the job it works for me 😁. Gave up caring about looking cool many years ago - nothing changed 😉 -
I had one and got and nice fat Ampeg sound from it - took a bit of experimenting with the eq though- think I ended up with the 'ultra low' in but the bass on the eq backed off, which seems a bit strange but worked. I also liked it for headphone practice - using the aux in. The Scrambler bit isn't anything special, but added a little bit of something if you didn't mix it in too much. Built like an absolute tank.

Top bloke who also happened to buy my Ampeg DI pedal - bonus!

Can I commend you on your excellent taste Sir? 😁 Mine has the same knobs, just look a bit darker.
