1. Thanks for the offer, but the MB Fusion ticks all my boxes for size, weight etc. Cheers :-)
2. ***NOW £375*** For sale is my trusty Euphonic Audio Micro 550. It's ridiculously small, weighs less than 1kg and has never let me down. Fantastic 'wide' sound & very clean - would also be an excellent choice for those who double on DB or have 2 basses that need different eq.... The only reason for selling is I fancy a micro with a decent valve pre, so the only trade I'd be interested in would be a Gallien Krueger MB Fusion. Will throw in a TRS cable too :-). I'd prefer pickup from Greenwich, or I can meet in Central London. NOW A MERE £375 - INCLUDES UK POSTAGE! THE SPECS •Inputs: Configuration: 2 independent channels- Channel 1 Mid EQ set at 500Hz for electric bass, Channel 2 Mid EQ set at 800Hz for upright/acoustic bass •Input Impedance: 1Meg ohm input impedance on both inputs •Trim controls: Independent channel level adjustments, DI output level, and high pass filter •Intelligent Input Switching: Select different settings for 1 bass or have independent setups for 2 basses, Channel 1 or Channel 2, or Channel 1+2 •Controls: Channel switch, Input gain, 3-Band EQ, Master Volume, Mute switch, Effects loop blend •EQ: Low, Mid, and High for each channel, Variable high pass filter 22-80 Hz, 6db per octave (allows selection of a frequency below which response is reduced, helps boomy rooms and stages-Channel 2 only) •Effects Loop: Parallel effects loop with blend control, wide range of setups via internal jumpers •Outputs: Speakon speaker, tuner, effects send, balanced DI out (1/4" stereo wired as TRS) •Protection: Internal cooling fan, thermal and overload •Line Voltage: 100/120 - 240 volts internally selected via jumper •550w at 4ohms, 375w at 8ohms (can be run at 2ohms).
3. Right then, have won a Sunday pass courtesy of BassGear, so hooray for them! See you there, taser in hand for if the slapping gets out of order
4. Here are some of shots of my new-to-me Ritter Classic 7-string #723. In the live pics I'm playing with an EBow at The Spill Festîval last Saturday with band Temper Temper - although they're out of shot ;-) Rather than wait for pics from the official photographer, I got a band mate to take some snaps during soundcheck, hence the quality's not great... So much is written about the way Ritters look - something to do with some being incredibly expensive and crazily flash/mad/'unusual' I guess - but the sound is often overlooked. I have to say though, when I first plugged mine in, holy cow on a cracker, the tone is fantastic. Massive low end punch and terrific mid range detail! I particularly like the humbucker/single-coil switches and mid controls, giving plenty of different, really useable sounds to explore when combined with the other controls. Seven strings are going to take some getting used to, but the neck is so well shaped and proportioned, it'll be a 'brain thing', not ergonomics. I know much is made of Ritters being 'works of art', but I intend to gig the hell out of mine... My mate Grand Wazoo just couldn't resist coming round to check it out. Even as a die-hard Dingwall fan, he was blown away by the playability and craftsmanship and of course, the TONE(S!) He even overcame his '7-string fear'... He'd brought his new top-end camera - it has a gyroscope! - along and with the fisheye you can even see my rig on the other side of the room!
5. Tom always answered my questions quickly and accurately. The transaction was very smooth and I would say he is completely trustworthy - a credit to the bass community!
6. Doh! Actually it's Simone (Butler?), from Vintage & Rare Guitars... Barrie, who's stage left of her, used to work there too - obviously the place to be employed if you want to pick up ok-ish gigs ;-)
7. AFAIK, it was Debbie Googe, but whoever ot was, she was playing my old beaten-up 1965 Precision bass ;-) Glad to see/jhear it being put to good use...
8. +1 And leaving the selling price in the ad after an item has sold is also very useful I find...
9. Is this a Combustion or a Combustion 2?
10. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
11. Can you give some specs please: scale length, weight & string spacing. Also, is it strung B - G or E - C? Cheers!
12. Is the extension cab the Wizzy 12 on the EA website and is yours 4 or 8 ohms? Ta!
13. Hi, Is this 4 or 8 Thanks!
14. Re: weight, the website doesn't actually say the neo version is 30lbs, but as 34lbs is listed further down in the specs, I guess that's for the steel framed woofer version. Terrible page layout! Will have a think about this...
Hiya, Schroeder weighs about 30lb - says so at the top of the page in the brief description. Never played a five string through it, but all these tiny cabs are a trade off - volume and weight for real low end, so I guess it's going to be no different to many other tiny cabs. Cheers, Jim
15.
I have a Schroeder 15PL (the very smallest one) with neo speaker option. http://www.schroeder...s.com/PL-15.htm Might that interest you? Complete with cover, in excellent condition.
Thanks, it might do....one thing though: unless I'm going mad, the website doesn't give the weight of the neo option...Any idea???
