  1. Great basses, these. Nice and light, feel great and sound spot on. This is in excellent condition and less than a year (of not gigging) old. I removed the standard white plate and fitted a tort plate for that vintage look. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.
  2. Ive just moved back to markbass from barefaced. I use the traveller 210s, previously used barefaced 210s, compact and super 12. Just my experience and opinion, but the markbass is much more full and warm, and seems much louder / efficient. I run a sansamp with a mkiii or big bang and it makes both the amp and cab come alive.
  3. Hi all, After (for the hundredth time) re organised my gear, I'm set on a smallish board which I can plug into any amp head, whether mine, hired or provided backline or in ears. It's a sansamp bass driver v2 and a boss 50 wireless. Now, what I need to complete are the following - all must be a similar size or smaller than a sansamp: 1. A tuner. (I'm fed up of losing clip ons). 2. A simple compressor (one knob if possible) just to balance the strings / keep everything the same volume. When pricing things up it soon comes to around £150+ upto £200. So it brings it close to something like a helix, which does the above and more. However, the helix's power supply drives me mad. Too large, cant swap with a regular 9v spare, and it doesnt (really) work with power packs. So.... is there anything out there that has true bypass, quality, and a compressor and tuner? And will run on either daisy chain or a power pack for under the board?
  4. You make them both sound excellent! I cant believe how much that yamaha sounds like a p bass. Great stuff.
  5. Well.... that's really weird - stumbled across this bloke last night completely by accident on youtube and spent hours watching his vids. Ended up getting hardly any sleep. Get up this morning and theres a thread on him. Usually I hate vids like this, but I loved it. The way he gets the same kicks out of chord progressions as a normal fan would over guitar solos etc - brilliant! I love the Iron Maiden - Prophet video! Completely blows his mind! I love how rock in particular just does what it wants to.
  6. It's probably mine. It's available on here in the amps for sale section cheaper as well. Excellent amp, superb condition.
  7. Managed to find an unopened pack of daddrio exp 170 which I must have got in a trade some time. Theyve really brightened up the bass alongside my sansamp. Sounds great so far. If I dont get on with them, I'll try some of the suggestions on here. Thanks.
  8. Great cabs. Love mine. Lightweight, easy to carry, tweeter adjustable, and very loud. Can be stacked vertical or horizontal. Replaced every cab I've tried. Perfect all round solution imo. I use one for practice and stack 2 for big gigs.
  9. Use their facebook page. Use messenger on there.
  10. It's probably been asked a million times, but I've got a jazz (flea relic) and it came with dead roundwounds. Now, being on a jazz they weren't really working like they would on a precision, so I was wondering what you all use on your jazzed and for what style of music. Precision is pretty easy - roundwounds or flats - but jazzes?
  11. Really are superb. You think you can emulate ampeg with helix, kemper, and other pedals ..... then you plug this in, and it's like..... "ah, now THATS Ampeg".
  12. Not sure if this should be in amps or effects, so I've listed in both, however, if you're looking, you know what these are - the superb preamp front end from the ampeg svt2. Recently serviced by Barry at Gee electronics. Sounds superb. Link to any amp to get that ampeg sound without that ampeg weight! Pick up Leyland Lancashire

  13. Cheers all! I'd forgot about the external supply from the boss - that could solve the problem! Cheers.
  14. Hi all, I'm putting together a tiny pedalboard consisting of: Boss WD50 wireless. Sansamp v2 Pedaltrain tiny tuner I need something (maybe a small box) to plug these into and then power off one plug. Is there anything available? The tuner and sansamp are 9v, the boss runs off something called a boss psa cable? Any help appreciated.
  15. I didnt, just added it to the list of ones to try out. Shame no one stocks them.
  16. In fairness a new abm600 is a fantastic price. All the amp you'll ever need, repairable, powerful, great tone and built like a tank. Compare that to some cheaper class d ones out there and there no comparison ....

  18. If you're into ABMs I have my abm 12 band 600w head up for sale in the amps for sale section. Superb head.
  19. Love this head, but unfortunately due to work and covid it has to go. I bought this last year, I believe it has never been used, and I've never (had chance to) gig with it. I believe it is still less than a year old. In superb condition. Works spot on. The 12 band is a superb edition and literally means ANY sound you want is in there. These are over £1000 at bax and unavailable elsewhere. Grab a superb bargain and fantastic example of a brilliant amp. Photos to follow.
  20. Hi all, Watching loads of jeff berlin videos of him with his cort rithimic bass recently. Now, I'm not a jazz type player, but the bass sounds great. He compares it as the best bass since the 62 jazz - so ..... is it really better? Or is jeff a great salesman? Certainly has me interested.
