1. New upload - single-camera video of the Fretboard Challenge with improved audio courtesy of Annoying Twit and his hard work in the face of all kinds of technical difficulties (and he also has a job and a life...!): https://youtu.be/ZHcQhgMxDW4 I have deleted the old one. Edited blog still at same location: http://wp.me/p2ZbyY-sZ
2. Another gig that started in broad daylight and then livened up somewhat - last Saturday at The Black Horse in Greenford: https://www.flickr.com/gp/bluejay_my_photos/715023
3. I have now uploaded the unedited, single-camera video of the Fretboard Challenge, and added the link into the blog. *video has been deleted, see next post* My blog: http://wp.me/p2ZbyY-sZ
4. Guys and gals, quick update: I have mentioned the 'thin and small' typeface problem to Joel, and he is looking into doing something about it. Watch this space
5. It is a nice bass, even to someone like me who usually doesn't like those Wal-like body shapes. In addition to the new set of TIs, we also gave the entire bass a good scrub with Thomann's guitar care spray, with special attention to the fingerboard and frets. Very few dings or worn-out areas overall, so definitely a good buy for Jack
6. Or even tonight! I'm expecting a photo session - in addition to the photos I'll take at the gig - during the weekend. Stay tuned!
7. LOL Jack has now been turned from Precision Man to Thunderbird Man in one fell swoop...
8. Thank you, Mick, and also Lozz and Chris for doing all the legwork and most of the organisation work. It was a glorious bassing day. When's the next one? Are we there yet?
9. Tea is Jack's task, and as for the cake, this is our favourite
10.
Well done! Obviously we'll need a full NBD thread with pics, review, audio clip... and cake.
Try to guess who will take the photos and record the audio?
11. Issue 119 will soon hit the shelves!
12. Aw, thanks! It was grat fun to be there, and also fun to write about it afterwards!
13. Oh, dunno... As always, please yell any corrections at me and I'll amend the text!
14. Thanks guys! Hopefully a new release soon, with videos as well
15. I've publlished a preliminary version of The Blog with audio files in place of videos, while we wait for the edited versions to link to. Warning: it's absolutely huge! http://wp.me/p2ZbyY-sZ
16. No prob posting here, and thanks for the heads-up! Hope someone can take advantage.
17.
....and Bluejay, if you publish any pics. showing how fat I am, I will sulk!
Huh? You look great in this one!
18. A couple more shots while we wait for the videos to add to my blog. That Lull T5 with Jack and Lozz: And Basschat's very own rock goddess with her golden mane covering her face
19. It's absolutely fine here too (and I'll tweet this post for you), but feel free to post it under Gigs as well, for maximum exposure. Sounds good - hope you get a good response - post live photos and vids too, when you have them!
20. Meanwhile, last Saturday at The Bell On The Green, the Dogs' fan club got younger and younger... https://www.flickr.com/gp/bluejay_my_photos/s475G0
21.
Upload it to a free Google Drive account (15GB?) and share it?
We'll be going the 20th Century way after all!
22.
Your camera footage is quite wobbly. I can put in some cutaways to that footage, but I think that even image stabilisation plugins won't be able to remove the camera movement.
Some cutaways are all we need, Ross - I intentionally didn't worry about camera shake, knowing that the main video was going to be from the fixed camera. Don't waste too much time on that, And thanks again.
