2. Looks great but forf*ckssake gets some curtains or blinds at that window before the local scrote fraternity clocks them.
3. This! http://youtu.be/9Yc633rOFV4
4. Thanks Dave, nice to meet you too, hope you're liking the bass. It just seemed pointless leaving it to the mercy of a couriers depot (I saw that Dispatches programme) for a journey of less than 20 miles mate. I woulda been right f***ed off if it had been damaged over such a short distance. PS. That little rig sounded lovely mate
5.
Lets be honest here; the first album is the album to listen to.Everything else is pretty pony IMHO . There are good tracks on satd, but not a whole album. The more albums they did, the worse they got IMHO . Style over substance.
Agree totally! The first album TFFL is the only decent stuff they released and that has to be the very raw Leathur records release of said album, not the wimpy tarted up Elektra re-release.
6. IMO it was their last great album, with the exception of Presto it all went downhill after Signals!
7. Great sounding set up. seen/heard this on a good few occasions, wish I had the cash to bid on it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181204199722?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

9. Dunno if you've seen this, if not I hope it helps. http://youtu.be/_cPaHmcZRTE
10. This is mine, made in China, and as far as I'm aware it's one of the early ones, but I can't find a serial number or date anywhere, having said that I've not took it apart. Set up was done by Manson's in Exeter, it's really effortless to play.
11. They were a brilliant band through all their era's! The Knife off of Genesis Live is sublime, as is Supper's Ready off of Seconds Out. There's still hints of genius on the later albums that many fans find cringe worthy.
12. The Sensible Gray Cells -Tragic Roundabout.
13. I've witnessed this in many a rock club in my youth Thin Lizzy's Chinatown always seems to get arms flailing, (and pints spilling) something to do with the frequent passages of triplets I suppose. I've even heard the excuse that doing it is a good cardiovascular work out, but hey, I'm no medical expert. Hope this helps anyone planning on taking up this rather funny spectacle.
14. Eastfield named after the recently re-opened diesel engine maintenance depot in Glasgow, sound very influenced by Blyth Power.
15. True mate! I wasn't judging the credibility of anyone on the bill. Though I bet there's gonna be quite a few new Tinnitus cases come the following Monday.
16. Toyah. Punk in attitude but not exactly punk musically as most of her stuff was pop/prog orientated, but in the day she got roped in with it all so I guess this counts to some extent. Anyway she had some great bass players in the early days. Charlie Francis, Phil Spalding, and the bloke on this song Mark Henry.
17.
Here's my Jamerson 62 tribute, all Fender parts apart from the body (alder) and scratch plate and all period correct, even the screws are all nickel. Couldn't afford an all parts neck so settled for a Mighty Mite one, so not 100% correct but plays and sounds fantastic especially with the La Bella flats.
Lovely!
18. There's some old bastards one that bill! My old mates band "Dogsflesh" kick off the proceedings at Olympia 1 on Saturday.
19.
Fender Precision Fender Jazz Gibson Thunderbird Musicman Stingray Rickenbacker 4003 I don`t think there`s much else from the bass-world I`d either want, or need.
+1
20. Ahh that was Bandland on the corner of Dovecot and Prince Regent Street. They were/are a mainly TAMA/Ibanez outlet, they're still going strong, though long gone from that location, the guy who owns it, (Peter Webster) is a decent enough bloke.
21.
and the shop in Stockton told me it was the first in the UK. Bet they said that to all the boys
Early 80's eh? Please tell me it was that little **** "Fast Eddie" from Regency Music who, suddenly closed down after he allegedly re-badged and sold a CMI SG as a Gibson, sounds like the sh*te he'd come out with.
Thanks for posting the RG link, what an incredible musician he was. RIP Rory.
You're welcome Dave, yes he was an incredible guitarist, and a very nice gentle natured man too, sadly missed!
