Well mate I phoned saying saying I'd swap my imperfect sunburst they sent me last week for another one as I couldn't be bothered to wait for the Ebony ones to arrive. the guy on the phone said oh wait we've just had a delivery of Ebony ones in (I didn't have one on order) Today this arrived

It's not showing on their website but Andertons have the Ebony vintage Pro in stock, mine arrives Tomorrow.

Replacement in Ebony when in Stock, still got the Sunburst here waiting to go back, so it's a straight swap over whenever the courier shows.

It's all under the lacquer mate.

I don't like the idea of drilling new holes. Anyway mine arrived Monday and is waiting to go back. How Epi's QC and even worse the person who lacquered over it didn't see it is beyond me.

I agree about the Wilkinson tuners. What model number are the Gotoh's mate, I might consider doing the same if the holes match up.

Asking £20.00 tells me he knows fine well it's not what he's advertising it as. If I hadn't known better I could've got caught by out one of these types about ten years back when I was after a Rickenbacker 4001, foolishly I'd not looked that closely at the listing photo's, but luckily it was a collection only, when I turned up and got the immaculate looking thing out of it's case only to find it had a bolt on neck and cheap looking machine heads, I told him it wasn't the genuine thing and he insisted it was and that he'd bought it in London in 1974.

In defence of Epiphone's mate, I bought the Classic Pro Thunderbird in 2012 and TBH it plays as well as the Gibson equivalent I tried at the same time, the gibson certainly wasn't worth £700 odd quid more, to me anyway.

It'd be Ebony all the way for me if I was gonna get one. If they were an off-White like the Gibson's that'd be a different story.
