  1. I've 3 black nickel metal knobs FS £12 posted .. flathead screwdriver grub screw so for solid shaft (6mm I believe) really nice & quite heavy but I've no use for em ...
  2. +1 on the 84's ! I used to have some in a jazz & they were just great .... I tried Fender noiseless then SD QP then these & they stayed, can't really offer an alternative other than my fav sc to date .. Nordstrand Big Singles ... I do have some yamaha sc going cheap if it's 5 string you're after
  3. Cheers for mini review ... keep em coming
  4. +1 dannybuoy ... Gonna get one too when I can afford it but loves to hear thoughts when you've had a chance to play around with it.
  5. I also want to see the list of suitable driver ... please Enjoyed the read so far ... gonna start work on my next cab soon.
  6. I might also paint the cab at some point I also got the hardware (corners etc) powder coated satin black to compliment the cream btw
  7. I can vouch for this combo as I bought it new a few years ago, traded it along with 9B ext cab when I wanted an all valve head & ended up trading valve head for my old PJB combo Funny how things go ... Anyway I sprayed it cream btw & think it looks great. I only sold it coz I needed the money (wedding costs etc) & was no longer in a band. I did keep the 9B cab tho ... Kev was great to deal with so buy with confidence & like he said you can remove the head & use with any cabs right down to 2 ohms (720w I believe) ... awesome amp that PJB still make & great customer service
  8. Price or Trade Value : £30 4-way rotary switch from my ABZ5 ... £30 posted 1 = bridge pup 2 = br + n parallel 3 = br + n series (with trim pot) 4 = neck The trim pot enables you to dial down (or up) the output in series to match parallel but I still found it too much with my Big Single pups ... unusual to find this type of switch tho. Don't ask me which wires go where, unfortunately I forgot to ask the luthier who replaced this to mark the contact points so you'll have to find (measure/test) yourself but there can't be that many possibilities.
  9. I play both guitar & bass thru my Traynor Darkhorse valve head for practice but do switch between two 8" cabs as I have both one for each instrument. So I'd say to OP but try a guitar cab with your bass amp, just take care with the volume & watch the impedance & wattage etc
  10. Very nice indeed !
  11. Looking good Pete ! Can't wait for finished pics & sound clips !
  12. Possibly/probably a speakon jack combi type, ashdown superfly amp I used to have had this type of jack. I also have one on a cab I built .. like obbm said 'try plugging a jack in' with power off.
  13. Incoming iPhone means I'll probably be looking at getting an Apogee one or similar so this TCE Desktop Konnekt 6 interface will become redundant ... looking for £80 posted (bank transfer/PayPal gift) Price drop £70 posted Info / specs & review below ... pics to follow http://www.tcelectronic.com/desktop-konnekt-6/ http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct08/articles/desktopkonnekt6.htm
  14. I agree Stef ... and I thought Chris had to get rid of stuff due to impending move lol ! ps. don't play him at bingo either
  15. Yeah wanna see em too Andy ... and give us your thoughts on the orange (esp cranked !)
  16. Looks fab ! Done a couple of Warmoth myself & really like em ... was the laminate neck a custom option ? wenge with ...?
  17. Replaced photos with some better ones ! cheers Mike (alyctes) btw ... wouldnt say I've much skill but I get by with what little tools / experience I have (plus a very understanding wife when I commandeer the kitchen table for a work space lol)
  18. I couldn't resist putting mine on ... even if it's for sale http://basschat.co.uk/topic/226571-fs-warmoth-7-baritone-bkp-hipshot/page__fromsearch__1
  19. Yeah Mike, I bought it unfinished. Purposely got ash coz I love the grain & it stains really well. I even do this staining now on any cab I build if the ply is nice, also I suck at tolexing lol. I love it but wish I'd got a 6 string version as I'm struggling with chord fingering on this my first (& last) 7 string. I mainly want it for heavy rhythm work & could just take the high E string off (tuned B in this case) but I know the look of a guitar missing a string will bug me.
