1. Markbass STD 102HF in very good condition for sale £350. Collection or possibly willing to meet midway . I'm at J15 on the M1 400w,front ported, with very efficient Neo drivers and capable of handling surprisingly high volume gigs on it's own. Owned by me since new, it is the dual ported model with a proper horn and delivers excellent chest thumping low end. I've been using it by itself and with a Traveller 102P (which I'm going to keep for now to use with my electric upright). My current gig situation (2 fairly low volume bands) mean that I'm really looking for a lower volume single 12" cab such as a Markbass 121H or the new Club 121 (may be willing to trade if you've anything similar). Thanks for looking Kev.
 2. I wasn't over keen on the stock pickups so replaced them with Wizards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TWM7WRrp2g I am using flatwounds on that and favouring the neck pickup. The 70's placement does have that sound though.
 3.
MB cabs are arse. Ive used both.
I have the dual ported STD 102hf and 102p combination. Great full range sound and very loud. Cured my Amp/cab gas since 2005 ! Definitely not arse.
 4. Just got back home after buying Nick's Sandberg PM4 Great guy to deal with. Cheers Nick
 5. Every MIA 75RI I've tried has been excellent build quality. Mine is from '99 and was originally black. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TWM7WRrp2g I had one of the pickups go O/C and replaced the pair with custom wound Wizards. Mine is very lightweight but I have tried a few heavyish ones
 6.
Nice one Opticaleye - what's the winding on your PJ set to keep the vol that way with both pups on?
Andy's standard P/J set. I'd made the mistake previously of adding a DiMarzio jazz without considering the way the existing P was wound. After talking to Andy I ordered matching set and they sound great. I can't recommend Wizard pickups enough. Great dynamics
 7.
Hi - anyone have a sound sample from a wizard pup? i'm thinking of ordering both P and J and would like to hear what's out there
Don't know whether this is any use but this is me playing my 75RI with custom wound Wizards. Andy called them 74's as they were wound to be slightly darker than the 64s' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TWM7WRrp2g I also have a P/J set on another bass that sound great and are really well matched (not much of a volume drop when both pickups full on)
 8. Broken in Chromes on my 75 RI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TWM7WRrp2g

 10. Yes I still have the neck and it is Maple neck and fingerboard with the overhang for the extra fret.
Do you still have the neck?
11.
has the emg btc gone??
Subject to the usual - yes I'm afraid Kev
 12. FS/FT Allparts Fender licensed maple Precision neck vgc. NOW WITHDRAWN
 13. I have one of these. I bought it about 2 years ago when it looked like this - (bad refin) I had it refinished again and now it looks like this I've since replaced those knobs with chickenhead ones. It dates from Oct '81 and is Ash/Rosewood although Alder and Mahogany are common body woods. Mine weighs just over 9lbs but G&L's can be quite heavy. Completely passive but with bass and treble cut controls, the wiring on mine was a mess and I had to get the diagram off the net and sort it out. The three way switch is parallel, single coil and series with bass boost for the single MFD humbucker. I can get some pleasing vintage P type tones as long as I don't run the controls fully open, but it has a variety of other tones too. It originally cost me £325 but there's one on e-bay at £799. Great bass.
 14.
Is that definitely his pupils? My 90 year old great uncle has brown eyes, but over the years he's developed a blue edge to each iris, a bit like that. I thought he was on drugs the first time I noticed them - until I spotted the normal pupils in the middle of the brown part of the iris.. It always looks a bit weird to me...
That actually looks like a symptom of excess cholesterol. He also has yellow skin in his eyebags which can also be caused by cholesterol deposits.
 15. I ordered a set of custom "74's" from Andy for a very bright, very light MIA 75RI Jazz that I'd struggled to find the right pickups for. Having tried DiMarzio model J and Ultra Jazz without success I tried to put the original PU's back in only to find that the neck pu was damaged. I spoke to Andy and decided on a set to give me a little more bass response to compensate for the lightweight inherent sound of this Jazz. When I first tried the set I was blown away with the dynamics and vintage tone and realised that this was exactly how I wanted the bass to sound. I have since replaced the set in my old lawsuit Tokai jazz sound with "64's" and also bought a P/J set for my 78 Aria Precision. All of these basses now sound great. I didn't realise just how "flat" stock pickups can sound compared to Andy's handwound gems. Also (now that I have no more basses to fit out ) I can say that that at the prices Andy charges they are the ultimate bargain.
