1. Hi all I wanted to tell you about my experiences recently when I discovered that I had lost a screw and, for want of a better description, and oversized washer on my Fender Jazz American Deluxe QMT V. Obviously I reached out to Fender straight away who, whilst being helpful, told me that I would need to replace the WHOLE machine head. They suggested that I speak to All Parts. All Parts were helpful but, again short of buying the whole machine head, I would have to put it all together from various bits. As this seemed the best idea I went back to Fender to try to find put all the dimensions. This is where everything changed. It turns out that the machine heads on this particular Fender model (yes they are all different) came from a company in Germany called SCHALLER ELECTRONICS. One short email to them and they were sending me SIX screws and washers with the agreement that I would pay them on arrival. They could not have been more efficient or helpful!!! The reason for my post? It seems that a few people have struggled with replacing small parts on Fenders and I wanted to let you know that there might be light at the end of the tunnel.
2. A Westone Spectrum DX. Lovely instrument. I donated it to a band and they have lost it!!!!!
3.
I'm being really cheeky, but both those sites where done with Dreamweaver Just need to look at the Javascript Dreamweaver inserts. Having said that, nice simple informative sites - what more do you need or want?
I started on Dreamweaver on one (hence the inserts) but got fed up too quickly as I have always preferred Frontpage. The second one was a rehash of the first as was www.littletardis.com Thanks for looking though and I'm glad you liked them!! A

Bitches Brew - if you want your head f***ed in more ways than Jenna Jameson.
I have to agree with The Funk. Check out A Kind of blue and then go from there.
5. I design a few sites (eg alex-moore.com , samwedgwood.com) and I always use Microsoft Frontpage. I can use Dreamweaver but found Frontpage much more idiot proof. You can also pick up cheap older versions of it on Amazon (or ebay if you want to get a copy) Have fun!!
6. I don't mean to sound rude or patronising but if you are in London just go to the Bass Gallery!!!!!!! I have dealt with Alex there for yars (including when he was back in Wapping) and their service is fantastic! Admittedly their range can be limited at times but at least they will make you feel welcome
7. It has taken me ten years to narrow down my equipment to what I use and what I need. Having said that I am off to get another amp on Tuesday...................and I DO need to get some more effects!
8. I have to say I play two... The QMT V and the 62 Reissue and they both play and feel fantastic. Obviously the QMT is active and the 62 is Passive so it depends which you are after, but I think both are brilliant!
9. I try and only use Fender Jazzes purely because OTHERS are snobby about what basses they expect to see.
10. It has taken me nearly 20 years but I finally have four basses that I can use without pining for anything else. 4 string passive Fender Jazz 5 string Active Fender Jazz and an Acoustic bass and 5 string fretless just in case Having said that I only use the Fenders!!
11. I originally taught myself at 13 learning from songs (Should I Stay Or Should I Go and Alright Now) and straight away joined my first band. About 8 years later I decided to take lessons and it was the best thing I ever did! I had a great teacher who inspired both about the music but also about the instrument. Let's face it though it's not that hard an instrument to play!!! (and before the abuse comes yes I am joking!!)
12. Julian from Boosh has been mentioned, but what about Noel Fielding? He used to play bass for Chris Corner from Sneaker Pimps alongside Dee and Sue from Robots in disguise
13. It woud have to be a Tele for me too!
14. Funnily enough I agree with everyone. When they were in Wapping they were great. Nick and Alex were always very helpful and happy to do deals. I bought two basses from them, as well as a Hartke rig and they were always happy to have me bumming around trying stuff out. The shop moved and so did the staff....and the attitude. Since moving to Liverpool St the staff had absolutely no interest in the customer and they seemed to have crammed everything into a cupboard. I rang with serious enquiries and got knocked back every time. Fortunately Alex is now the manager at the Gallery and is always pleased to have people come by and try stuff out which is why I bought my last bass from them! I would recommend any business that you would have given to the Bass Centre you now consider giving to them!
15. What I play and what i would choose to play are two different things. I play Fender because I have to but given the choice I LOVE Modulus basses and selling my Q4 was gutting!
16. As long as they keep making great gear I'm happy!!
