I use that combination when playing live, and change it to the Starlifter + Trace Elliot (or Markbass) when playing through headphones. Great stuff.
-
I too kept the NUX, it is a great little amp and the IR's do really change the sound which makes it very versatile.
-
It all depends on what you will use it. I have the NUX and tried the Digbeth, both are great on their own. I believe The NUX is better for going straight to the house P.A. and the Laney excels as a preamp. If I'm you I would consider what is the situation I'll be using it and buy the one that will suit it. I got the NUX and I only use it to go straight to the house P.A. and for that it is absolutely phenomenal.

As far as I know one is it's own thing (MLD) based on Melvin's own EQ preferences and the other is based on the Nordstrand Starlifter bass preamp.

All I can say is " About Bloody Time!!!!!"

Yep mine is a bolt-on. Here's a photo of me using it (Sorry that's the only photo I can find quickly).
-
Mine is like that red one but with 5 knobs
-
Mine is the older version a 34" and I love it to bits.

I got an old Grind BXP 5 that has become my workhorse. Sounds massive and it's light as a feather, that top horn does make a difference. I played one of their 35" Cirrus and didn't even realized it after I investigated it online, I could not believe how comfortable it was when I couldn't handle other 35" instruments (I'm looking at you Schecter!! ).

They only bad thing about the Sonicake is the compressor, Jesus Christ it is bad!! The rest sound really good, specially the preamp.

Sonicake Pocket Master just arrived - nano size effects processor for £50
Mcgiver69 replied to lemmywinks's topic in Effects
I got the Tank B, and most of the preamps are not great, but you can download profiles for other amps, and they sound good. I updated it with the ones I like, same for the IRs, and I've been using it a lot, even for gigs direct to the house PA. So, having said all that, the Black Box will serve you well. As for the Sonicake, you can load NAM captures (full rigs) for bass. It works really well too. -
I haven't bought it yet. Is it any good?

That's the place to get them, you'll find a good amount of bass amp captures there plus a good amount of IRs. -

According to the release notes it is now compatible with NAM captures, if that is the case then this automatically becomes one of the best little players around and opens a massive world of possibilities. -
Guys Oveloud TH is giving away their Essentials guitar suite. Go to their website and get your license. The offer runs out before February.

Talking about Sansamp, here's a free SansAmp for you. It sounds great too!! https://tonelib.net/tl-bassdrive.html

In all honesty just download Basslocker from Audio Assault, there's a free amp with some cabs and effects. If you want something else you can buy more amps, they're always on sale for like a fiver each. https://audioassault.mx/product/BassTR

I'm near you in Burgess Hill, I'm pairing mine with a GenzBenz 2x10 and sounds massive. I got a BMF Omni 10 (2x10) and it works great with it too.
