1. This is the sort of thing I need, don't suppose your heading to Bedfordshire or North London anytime soon and want to cart this along with you? I thought not...
2. I'm thinking of selling my 3/4 size rockabilly bass. Im not sure what make it is but I would guess it to be at least 20 years old. I bought it from another bassist in a rockabilly band when I was in a rockabilly band, I had to leave because Im away too much for work at the moment . it just sits in the spare room which is a shame. It looks very cool though rough and ready looking with the roackabilly white line around the edges, it has slap pickups on it and new strings called Innovation super slaps, they cost me about 90 quid! they have hardly been played, and aparrently last for ages and ages. I still have the strings that were on it when I bought it and a spare set of Nylon(?) strings. Anyway, if your interested let me know. Im in Luton but can transport it if needed, Im in London at least a few times a week too.
3. LOL just noticed that your in Ireland. Not very postable these things...

5. Right, I may not be able to attend now due to work. I don't want to take the risk of wasting these, so I guess they are up for grabs again? Obviously this is up to Kaygee as they are his. I'm gutted but hopefully they will find people who will have fun at Hard Rock Hell.
6. I would love to take these off your hands. My mates band is laying and I'd like to see them. I'll pm you now.
7. I'll take these if it's ok. Ill pm you for details of payment. Edit* I only need two, so if they are still available and they are coming this way then I'll pass one on.
8. Yes please, you have PM
9.
I cooked to many, they are made by our local butcher. pork and leek. i have been dipping mine in mustard and brown sauce. err.. not at the same time. pick up only as i cant drive at the mo due to alcohol imbibbmentation.
So are the sausages your giving away cooked or raw? If they are raw, can you cook them for me? Grilled though, not fried!
10.
Have 2 tickets for the show at the Excel on Saturday June 13th that I can no longer attend. Sux as I just looked at the schedule (should never do that) and Nicko McBrain is running the drum demo this year, should be pretty entertaining. So if you want the tickets, just drop me a PM (first come first served) and I'll post them to you on Saturday free of charge.
You have pm :-)
11. Hey Steviedee, I think there is a Pro Plat on rockabillybass.com The silver Slaps are really really good, great on the fingers and have a wonderful tone. Out of all the strings I have played on these are the best, and not too pricey in comparison (about 80 quid for a set). The people who suggested them to me swear by them and they apparently last forever.
12. Hi Teej, Thanks for the help. I'm playing through various amps at practice none of them that big, but my own rig is a Mesa 400+ and a SWR 6x10 wich is overkill for us as we aren't that loud really, were playing all 50's rock n Roll. I'll try bidding on the realist pickup. What would you suggest after the pickup? Straight in to my Mesa and see how that is? or should I just buy a preamp? Cheers, Gusto.
13. I have just got a 3/4 DB and have put a new set of Innovation Silver Slaps on it. Can anyone help me with what pick up I should use? I only want to get a cheap one for now and have been looking on ebay and saw these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rockabilly-Duo-doubl...%3A1|240%3A1318 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ACOUSTIC-TRANSDUCER-...%3A1|240%3A1318 But are they any good? or is there a better way of doing things for cheap? Its only band practice so hasn't got to be amazing quality sound just loud enough for us to practice. Any help or suggestions?
14.
That's been done already.
The Fretlight video should be renamed 'how to look uncomfortable on video'. Step1) Hold hands with yourself when talking. step2) When you do talk move your hands up and down in a shaking motion. Step3) Dress in cloths that neither you nor anyone you know would normally wear. Step4) Tuck your t-shirt in.
15. I'm in Luton so it probably won't end up over here, but we have plenty of scummy f*%$ers that steal so if I see it I will let you know. Was it insured? Stolen at a gig or from your car, burgled....? May sound strange to ask but may make a diference as to where it ends up and what kind of person stole it.
16. I too am thinking of buying my first DB, and am finding these problems: I have a limited amount of cash 500 or less. I have been looking on ebay quite a bit, and have no idea how to tell the difference between good and cheap DB's, they all look similar in pics. How do you tell the difference when looking at pics? What questions should I ask the seller? And yes I know it is best to play the DB that is for sale, but what I am looking for is how to tell the good cheap DB's from the bad cheap DB's. I am going to be playing Rockabilly style so and hints on basses that would help me would be great. Cheers, Gusto.

20. I second that Tayste_2000. I don't think there is a better head, and for 650quid its a real steal... I really don't understand this new solid state frenzy! If your reading this and thinking about buying... think no more.... You will not find a more powerful beast that will sing in any tone you want... imho .
