Fair play to ya Lozz, I tried ...and failed, so tweaked it a bit for my lot, great tune, love playing it!

Yeah. Makes you realise that all the parenting advice is just so much hooey. I have three kids, one of each.
All brought up the same all entirely different people now.
I use that line too, 1 blonde, 1 brunette, 1 redhead, sadly my 37 year old brunette son is bald nowadays!!

I bought the CD shortly after it came out and have just about managed to get past the silly crowd noise. No idea why they could not have released a version without it, can't be that hard surely?
Less of a Trevor Rabin fan though. I don't think he has Howe's subtlety of touch and I find the relentless overdriven guitar sound a bit monotonous tbh. I appreciate that I am probably in a mnority though.
I with you re Howe over Rabin, and the crowd noise come to that!

Well I'm in MK, and can get it over to Reading ish if that helps.

With or Without You, followed close by message in a bottle, by which time I had an audition for a band because they played the Police song, it was just a shame they didn't tell me it was in a different key...I had no idea what they meant.......I got the gig anyway...1st live event after 3 months of playing.....nerve racking and some bastid videoed it and bunged it on you tube.
Cut to 17 years later and finally I'm in a band that wants to do With or Without You lol!!!

Interesting point Surfguy made, is this a 34 inch scale bass?

Olias is more Yes than a lot of Yes tbh
Olias just has to be my most favourite Album ever, so other worldly, so...out there. Just sublime.

I would say that thundercats bass is actually fairly distinctive.
It was the tattoo on his hand that gave it away for me, many hours watching with my kids so many years ago!!

A question for anyone who has a Rick-o-like, can you remove the bridge PU cover? I'm tempted by one of these, but that lump is a dealbreaker

Me too, got it in '72 at tender age of 12, the heady days of reading the liner notes, listening to the whole album at full welly, blew my tiny mind lol!!

I too have been following Lee's exploits since the start of lockdown, its a great way for me to start my day, with himself and a cup of coffee bright and early everyday. I've been following direct on YT, but thanks for taking the time to pin em up here every day!

That sounds wrong and the first time I have ever heard of anybody suffering poor performance with them. Where did you get the Eneloop last from? Are they legit?
I've been using my smoothhound with eneloop AAA from Amazon, for a couple of years now and the batteries have always been rock solid, I tend to swap em out and charge em when they get to 2 led's power ie 50%

Talk Talk, there is just something about Mark Hollis' voice, and the groove, always cheers me up and gets me boogie-ing in my chair...even in the car! and yes, even right now!

This thread has taken me on a search for good cover versions.
The Chickenfoot version is brilliant - Satriani playing the organ solo with some synthy pedals. Also shows what a great singer Michael Anthony is.
Love me a bit of Chickenfoot, that is a screamin' cover!!!

This is not better but I like it equally as much because it's a different take on a great song.
Sabbath and Cake with War Pigs.
Never heard of these before but I really liked that!!

Wow, fair play to you. Thought that would have been on most people's (including mine) worst ever lists.

And this is why music is so subjective, I have loved the original ever since it came out, and that Disturbed version is just so damn powerful, its brilliant!......IMHO ofc
