  1. My wife is a big fan, we saw her solo a couple of years back and she had the whole audience spellbound for 2 hours or so.  Even when her PA failed as she was about to do her last number, she just carried on, we all joined in...special moment.

  2. One of my guitarists sent me drums only for Schools Out the other day, with a view to me laying down the bass line, then he gonna add guitars and pass to singist.  drummer can't set up at home hence the you tube isolated drums.  that's a more complicated bass line than I was expecting!  And in trying to get it all in i'm definitely getting behind the beat, which apparently caused the guitarist all kinds of issues when he tried putting his part on top.  still, its something to do until we can all get together again.

I bought this dvd when it came out, and when I heard Jonathan Noyce's tone, highlighted nicely here, I knew I'd found what I wanted, so full, with a touch of grit.  Of course, reproducing it without carting round an effing great Ampeg stack....not quite so easy......

This is quite funny, and very true, especially the intro’s bit.

And for good measure, Guy aged 22 with Aussie synthers Icehouse playing a cricket bat.

Anyone else see Icehouse at Milton Keynes Bowl supporting Bowie in the 80's ?

I must have seen Guy without knowing it

If that was the serious moonlight tour, yep I was there..horrendous sunburn lol

Ditto, didn't know anything about Guy or Icehouse at the time!

Full new set list for a dep job in early May. Mates band kicked their bass player out due to drug / money related issues within the band. He was in his late 20's while rest of the band are "more mature". I used to play with this band 3 yrs ago but the set list has changed almost completely. Its interesting but nothing too difficult. Superstition by Stevie Wonder and one that really surprised me was Maggie May by Rod Stewart. Some nice bass in Maggie May. Only just finding the songs on-line to learn and locating any bass tabs or chord sheets i can find. Making a start on them this week. Here's the set list in no specific order as far as i know :-

The Bluest Blues – Alvin Lee   A

That is a cracking tune, been a staple in our set list for night on 10 years, along with Midnight Blues by Gary Moore
