  1. I picked up a Sterling SUB last year for about £330 new from PMT cos I fancied trying the MM style. Nice light comfy bass, but PU is very hot, so finding a clean tone was a struggle, just about got it sorted now, I happily play it with a pick with no issues, but I'm more of a fingerstyle guy out of choice.

  2. Played my favourite pub In Stony Stratford for the 1st time with current band, but they had us setting up in the bay window opposite the bar rather than out the back where there is more room. Although it was cramped, the atmosphere was great, and turn out was great as Silverstone is only up the road.  A hot and sweaty night and it made a change to see the whites of the bars staffs eyes!!

I also have a FB vid to show off, but someone has stuck some titles on it too...which was nice!

Reading back over this thread and I missed this at first glance - the Reidmar 750 seems particularly good value for money. Even more so, the Reidmar 502 is under £400! Any idea how ‘loud’ they are compared to their watt ratings?

Before the can of worms starts bubbling, I’m fully aware that loudness and watts are not necessarily related. What I’m trying to decipher is: are the Reidmars capable of producing a similar amount of power as other amplifiers (such as my RH450) or are companies playing marketing games? Will a Reidmar 502/500 be as loud as my RH450, and is the 750 as loud as you expect it to be?

I have a Reidmar 250 which is just as loud as my Aggy TH500, I dunno how they do it really!

I believe the Reidmar 500 is just a rebadged 250 with no actual changes to the innards...there was a post on here about it a coupla years back.

Played at a lovely little pub in the middle of nowhere around Princes Risborough...marquee in the garden with real ale in kegs, plenty of punters (where DID they come from?) and enthusiastic too.  Had a great night even when we tripped out the whole pub during the 3rd song (had a bit of an impromptu sing along organised by the singist until somebody reset the breakers) and the lead guitarist had a lead go pfft near the end, cue other guitarist playing intro to Stairway to a huge cheer while he sorted it, and panic look from singer cos he couldn't remember the lyrics lol.

Got another gig in July out of it too at a pub in Henley....good times :)
